In1960,hehappenedtofindanaturalhybridriceanddedicatedtovariousresearches.In1973,hesucceededindeveloping3departmentsmethod,increasingriceoutputgreatly.RecordOutputofSuperHybridRiceIn2000,700kg/muIn2004,800kg/muIn2011,900kg/muin2014,1026kg/muin2017,1149kg/mu400kg/muInJune2020,YuanLongping'steamplantedthehighcoldandsalttolerantrice(alsoknownassearice)inChaidamubasin,QinghaiProvinceInfluenceDrYuancirculatdhisknowledgeinIndia,Vietnamandmanyotherlessdevelopedcountriestoincreasetheirriceharvests.Thankstohisresearch,theUNhasmoretoolsinthebattletoridtheworldofhunger.Usinghishybridrice,farmersareproducingharveststwiceaslargeasbefore.Morethan30countrieshaveintroducedhybridrice.Hechangestheworldwithoneseed.AlthoughhewasoneofChina'smostfamousscientists,YuanLongpingconsideredhimselfafarmer,forheworkedthelandtodohisresearch.Indeed,hissunburntfaceandarmsandhisslim,strongbodywerejustlikethoseofmillionsofChinesefarmers,forwhomhestruggledtillhisdeath.Hedoesn’tcareaboutbeingfamousorwealthy,leadingaplainlifeforallhislife,donatinglargeamountofmoneytoequipothersfortheirresearchinagriculture.
