Abstract:
Nickelalloymatrixself-lubricatingcompositematerialshavebeenwidelyresearchedduetotheirsuperiorpropertiesinlubrication,hightemperatureresistanceandwearresistance.Inthispaper,wereviewedrecentresearchprogressonnickelalloymatrixself-lubricatingcompositematerials,includingpreparationmethods,mechanicalproperties,andtribologicalproperties.Wealsodiscussedtheinfluenceofprocessingparametersandcompositionadjustmentsontheirmechanicalandtribologicalproperties.Moreover,weintroducedthestudyofnickelalloymatrixself-lubricatingcompositematerialsappliedinaerospace,automotiveandmarineenvironments.
Introduction:
Nickelalloymatrixself-lubricatingcompositematerialsreceiveincreasingattentionfromresearchersandindustriesduetotheiruniquepropertiesinhightemperatureresistance,wearresistanceandexcellentself-lubrication.Theyarewidelyusedinaerospace,automobile,marineandotherfields.Inordertoimprovethemechanicalandtribologicalpropertiesofnickel-basedself-lubricatingcompositematerials,numerousstudieshavebeenconductedtooptimizetheircompositionandprocessingparameters.Inthispaper,wesystematicallyreviewedtherecentprogressofresearchonnickelalloymatrixself-lubricatingcompositematerials,includingtheirpreparationmethodsandtheevaluationoftheirmechanicalandtribologicalproperties.
PreparationMethods:

Intermsofpracticalapplications,nickelalloymatrixself-lubricatingcompositematerialshavebeenwidelyusedinhigh-performanceengines,slidingbearings,andgearsfortheirexcellentmechanicalandtribologicalproperties.However,thedevelopmentofself-lubricatingcompositematerialswithhighertemperatureresistance,corrosionresistance,andwearresistanceisstillneededformoredemandingapplications,suchasinnuclearreactorsandoildrillingplatforms.Therefore,continuedresearchanddevelopmentinthisareawillenablethewiderapplicationofnickelalloymatrixself-lubricatingcompositematerialsinvariousfields.Anotherapproachtoenhancingthemechanicalandtribologicalperformanceofnickelalloymatrixself-lubricatingcompositematerialsistheincorporationoffibersorwhiskers,suchascarbonfibersorboronnitridewhiskers.Theadditionofthesematerialscanimprovethemechanicalstrengthandwearresistanceofthecompositewhilemaintaininggoodself-lubricatingproperties.Moreover,theorientationanddistributionoffibersorwhiskersinthecompositecanalsoaffectthemechanicalandtribologicalproperties.
