TeachingSteps

Step1:Warm-up(5minutes)

GreetthestudentsinEnglishandaskiftheyliketoeathamburgersorhotdogs.

Askthemiftheyhaveevertastedthesefoods.

Showthempicturesofdifferentfooditems,suchashamburgers,hotdogs,Frenchfries,pizza,andsoon.

Talkaboutthepictureandaskthestudentswhattheysee.

Usethisactivityasawaytointroducenewvocabularyandgetthestudentsexcitedabouttheupcominglesson.

Step2:Vocabulary(10minutes)

Step5:Writing/drawing(15minutes)

Providestudentswithaworksheetwheretheycandrawpicturesoftheirfavoritefoods.

Havestudentslabelthepictureswiththecorrectvocabularyterms.

Askthemtowriteafewsentencesabouttheirfavoritefoods.

Usetheseworksheetsasanopportunityforeachstudenttosharetheirlikesanddislikeswiththeclass.

Step6:Cookingactivity(20minutes)

Providestudentswiththeingredientsandinstructionsformakingsimplehamburgersorhotdogs.

Havethemworkinpairstofollowtheinstructionsandcreatetheirownmeal.
