第16屆亞運(yùn)會(huì)將于2010年在中國(guó)廣州進(jìn)行，廣州是中國(guó)第二個(gè)取得亞運(yùn)會(huì)主辦權(quán)的城市。北京曾于1990年舉辦第11屆亞運(yùn)會(huì)。廣州亞運(yùn)會(huì)將設(shè)41項(xiàng)比賽項(xiàng)目，是亞運(yùn)會(huì)歷史上比賽項(xiàng)目最多的一屆。廣州還將在亞運(yùn)會(huì)后舉辦第十屆殘疾人亞運(yùn)會(huì)。
