全球經(jīng)濟(jì)的發(fā)展,跨文化交際日益頻繁,中西文化差異變得更加明顯,特別是餐桌禮儀的差異。Withthedevelopmentofglobaleconomy,cross-culturecommunicationhasbecomemoreandmorefrequent,andthedifferencesbetweenChineseandwesternculturehavebecomemoreobvious,especiallythedifferencesoftablemanners.ArrangementofseatinChinesewayInChina,peopleusedtousethenumberofthetablestodefinethesizeofbanquet.Insmallbanquetswhichhavetwotables,thetableontheleftorfarthertotheportal

isthetoptable.Atbiggerbanquetsthathavethreeormoretables,therulesaremuchmorecomplicated.

Generally,seatsthatclosertothetoptabletakeprecedence(優(yōu)先).Forexample,ontheweddingparty,familymembersofthebrideortheleadershipsarearrangedtothetablethatclosesttothetoptable.Hostsshowtheirreverences(尊敬)totheguestsbyarrangingseatsbythisway.
