indefinitely-justlookatTokyo'shugeprice-dropssince1990.

And,thoughitistruethatafixedsupplyofhomesmaypush

uphousepricesifthepopulationisrising,thiswouldimply

asteadyriseinprices,notthe20%annualjumpsofrecentyears.

Asecondflawedargumentisthatlowinterestratesmakebuying

ahomecheaper,andsopushupdemandandprices.Lowerinterest
