Iamhonoredtohavetheopportunitytopresentmyannualperformancereportfortheacademicyear2024-2024.AsadedicatedandpassionateEnglishteacher,Iamthrilledtosharewithyoutheprogressmadebymystudentsandmyselfoverthepastyear.

TeachingandLearningAchievements

Istronglybelievethatteachingshouldcatertotheneedsandabilitiesofeachstudent.Inordertoachievethis,Ihaveadoptedvariousteachingmethodsandstrategiesthatmadelearningmorefunandengaging.Iencouragedmystudentstoparticipateinclassdiscussions,debates,andgroupactivitiesthatstimulatedtheircriticalthinkingandcreativity.Furthermore,Ishowedthemhowtouselanguagefordifferentpurposesandaudiences,andgavethemauthenticandchallengingtasksthatmirroredreal-lifesituations.Ialsousedarangeofauthenticmaterialssuchasarticles,shortstories,films,videos,andsongsthathelpedstudentstoimprovetheirlanguageskillsandbroadentheirculturalknowledge.

Throughouttheyear,mystudentsshowedremarkableprogressintheirEnglishproficiency.TheycouldnotonlyunderstandandspeakEnglishmorefluentlyandaccuratelybutalsowriteandreadtextswithmorecoherenceandcohesion.TheydevelopedagreaterinterestinEnglishlearningandachievedhigherscoresinvarioustestsandexams.Forexample,inthemid-termexam,85%ofmystudentsscoredabove80%,andinthefinalexam,95%ofmystudentsscoredabove90%.

ProfessionalDevelopmentAchievements

Asateacher,Ibelievethatcontinuingprofessionaldevelopmentiscrucialformaintaininghigh-qualityteachingandupdatingmyselfwiththelatesttrendsandpracticesineducation.Duringthepastyear,Iparticipatedinvariousformsofprofessionaldevelopmentthatenhancedmypedagogicalexpertise.Iattendedseveralworkshopsandwebinars,bothonlineandoffline,thatfocusedonlanguageteaching,classroommanagement,assessmentforlearning,andeducationaltechnology.Ialsoreadwidelyinthefieldoflanguageteachingandappliedlinguistics,andsharedmyinsightsandreflectionswithmycolleaguesthroughformalandinformaldiscussions.

Anotheraspectofprofessionaldevelopmentisresearch.Iconductedasmall-scaleactionresearchprojectthatinvestigatedtheeffectivenessofusingdigitalstorytellingasameansofimprovingstudents'speakingskills.Theresultsofthestudyshowedthattheuseofdigitalstorytellingnotonlyincreasedstudents'motivationandengagementbutalsoenhancedtheirspeakingaccuracyandfluency.

TeamworkandServiceAchievements

Asateamplayer,Ibelievethatcollaborationandcommunicationamongteachersareessentialforcreatingapositiveandsupportiveteachingenvironment.Duringthepastyear,Iactivelyparticipatedinvariousteammeetings,workshops,andeventsthataimedatenhancingthequalityofEnglishteachinginourschool.Icollaboratedwithmycolleaguesondesigningandimplementinglessonplans,developingteachingmaterials,andassessingstudents'performance.Ialsoprovidedsupportandadvicetonoviceteachersandsupervisedtheworkofstudentteachers.

Apartfromteachingandlearning,IalsoparticipatedinvariousextracurricularactivitiesandcommunityservicesthataimedatpromotingEnglishlearningandculturalexchange.Forexample,IorganizedaspeechcontestformystudentsandinvitedEnglish-speakingvolunteerstoserveasjudgesandgivefeedback.IalsoparticipatedinanEnglishcampforunderprivilegedstudentsfromanearbyruralareaandtaughtthembasicEnglishcommunicationskills.
