Unit1Howcanwebecomegoodlearners?1.a(chǎn)loud大聲地;出聲地(1)aloud作副詞,意為“大聲地;出聲地”。(2)aloud,loud與loudly的區(qū)別:aloud,loud和loudly都可以表示“大聲地”,但在用法上有區(qū)別。1)aloud和loud作副詞時,都有“大聲地;響亮地”的意思,有時可以通用。但aloud與read,think等動詞連用時,強(qiáng)調(diào)“出聲”,而loud通常只與talk,speak,shout,laugh等動詞連用,且必須放在這些動詞之后,在口語中可代替loudly。如:①Pleasereadthetextaloud.請朗讀一下課文。②Speaklouder,please,ornoonewillhearyou.請大聲些,否則沒人能聽見。2)aloud只可用作副詞,但loud還可用作形容詞,意為“大聲的;高聲的”。如:Hehasaloudvoice.他嗓門大。3)loudly也作副詞,意為“響亮地”,其基本意義與loud相同,還常與ring,knock等動詞連用。loudly放在動詞前后均可,含有“喧鬧”或“嘈雜”的意味。如:Suddenlythebellonthewallrangloudly.突然,墻上的鈴大聲地響起來。2.patient(1)patient作形容詞時,意為“有耐心的”。如:Well,bepatient.Ittakestime.請耐心,這需要花費(fèi)時間。常用結(jié)構(gòu):bepatientwithsb.,意為“對某人有耐心”。如:Ourmathteacherisverypatientwithus.我們的數(shù)學(xué)老師對我們很有耐心。(2)patient還可作名詞,意為“病人”。如:Pleaselookafterthosepatientsforme.請幫我照顧好那些病人。(3)patient的派生詞:patiencen.耐心patientlyadv.有耐心地impatientadj.沒有耐心的3.study與learn的區(qū)別(1)study意為“學(xué)習(xí);研究”,強(qiáng)調(diào)學(xué)習(xí)的過程。如:WeshouldstudyEnglishhard.我們應(yīng)該努力學(xué)習(xí)英語。(2)learn意為“學(xué)習(xí);學(xué)會”,強(qiáng)調(diào)學(xué)習(xí)的結(jié)果。如:WeshouldlearnEnglishwell.我們應(yīng)該學(xué)好英語。4.voice,sound與noise的區(qū)別(1)voice指人的嗓音,也指鳥鳴。如:inalowvoice低聲地atthetopofmyvoice以我最大的音量(2)sound意為“聲音;響聲”,指人可以聽到的各種聲音。如:hearastrangesound聽到一個奇怪的聲音(3)noise意為“噪音;吵鬧聲”。常用短語:makenoise吵鬧,makealotofnoise制造很多噪音。如:Don'tmakeanynoise!別吵鬧!noise的派生詞:noisyadj.吵鬧的;noisilyadv.吵鬧地。如:①Don'tbenoisy.別吵鬧。②Don'tgototheroomnoisily.Thebabyissleeping.不要吵鬧地進(jìn)入房間,嬰兒在睡覺。5.learnalotthatway=learnalotinthatway用那種方法學(xué)到很多表示方式可以用介詞in,with,by。如:inEnglish用英語,inaverylowvoice用非常低的嗓音,inblue穿著藍(lán)色的衣服,inink用墨水,withaknife用小刀,withmyeyes用我的眼睛,withherrighthand用她的右手,bycar乘小汽車,bysellingnewspapers通過賣報紙6.beafraidofsth./doingsth.害怕某事/做某事(1)beafraidof后接名詞或動詞-ing形式。如:I'mafraidofbeingalone.我害怕獨處。(2)beafraid還有以下幾種用法:1)beafraidtodosth.意為“害怕去做某事”。如:I'mafraidtobelatetomorrow.我害怕明天遲到。2)beafraid(that)+句子,意為“恐怕……;擔(dān)心……”,表示委婉語氣。如:I'mafraidIcan'tgotoyourparty.我恐怕去不了你的派對。1.It'stoohardtounderstandspokenEnglish.聽懂英語口語太難了?!皌oo+形容詞/副詞+動詞不定式”結(jié)構(gòu)簡稱為too...to結(jié)構(gòu)。這種結(jié)構(gòu)是英語中常用的一種句型,在大多數(shù)情況下表示否定意義,在翻譯時,通??勺g為“太……而不能……;太……無法……”。如:①Hewalkstooslowlytogetthereontime.他走得太慢,不能按時到達(dá)那兒。②I'mtootiredtothinkofanythingnow.我現(xiàn)在太累了,什么也不能想了。2.WhydidWeiFenfinditdifficulttolearnEnglish?魏芬為什么覺得學(xué)英語難?(1)findit+形容詞+todosth.意為“發(fā)現(xiàn)做某事……”,it在這里作形式賓語代替todosth.,此句相當(dāng)于find+賓語從句,但賓語從句中要注意時態(tài)與主句一致。如:IfounditinterestingtoplayChinesechess.=IfounditwasinterestingtoplayChinesechess.我發(fā)現(xiàn)下中國象棋很有趣。(2)find+賓語+賓補(bǔ)(名詞、形容詞、介詞短語、分詞),意為“發(fā)現(xiàn)……”。如:①Wefindheranhonestgirl.我們發(fā)現(xiàn)她是一個誠實的女孩。②Wefindherhonest.我們發(fā)現(xiàn)她很誠實。③Wefoundhimintheclassroom.我們發(fā)現(xiàn)他在教室里。④Ifoundhimworkinginthegarden.我發(fā)現(xiàn)他在花園工作。⑤Hefoundthewindowclosed.他發(fā)現(xiàn)窗戶關(guān)著。3.TheteacherspokesoquicklythatIdidnotunderstandhermostofthetime.老師講得如此快以致大多數(shù)時候我都沒有聽懂。so...that...是一個主從復(fù)合句,意為“如此……以致……”,常用結(jié)構(gòu):so+形容詞/副詞+that從句。此結(jié)構(gòu)的從句為否定句時,可以用not...enoughto...和too...to結(jié)構(gòu)將主從復(fù)合句轉(zhuǎn)換為簡單句。如:It'ssodifficultthatIcan'tunderstandthemeaningoftheEnglishstory.=It'snoteasyenoughtounderstandthemeaningoftheEnglishstory.=It'stoodifficulttounderstandthemeaningoftheEnglishstory.要明白這個英語故事的意思很難。4.Itservesyouright.你活該/這是你應(yīng)得的。Itservessb.right.是固定搭配,意為“某人活該;是某人應(yīng)得的”。如:Ioncetoldyoutoworkhard,butyoualwaysturnedadeafeartome,itservesyouright.以前我告訴過你要努力工作,但你總是不聽我的,你這是自作自受。1.by的用法(1)通過……方式(途徑)。如:IlearnEnglishbylisteningtotapes.我通過聽磁帶學(xué)習(xí)英語。(2)在……旁邊。如:Canyousitbythewindow?你能坐在窗邊嗎?(3)乘坐交通工具。如:Ioftengotoschoolbybus.我經(jīng)常乘公交車上學(xué)。(4)在……之前;到……為止。如:Ihavetogobackbyteno'clock.我不得不在十點之前回去。(5)被。如:Englishisspokenbymanypeople.很多人講英語。(6)固定詞組:bytheway順便說一下,bymistake由于過錯,byoneself獨自,onebyone一個接一個,bytheendof到……末為止,timegoesby時光流逝,byaccident偶然地,wordbyword一個詞接一個詞。2.how與what的區(qū)別(1)how通常對方式或程度提問,意為“怎么樣;如何”,通常用來作狀語和表語;what通常對動作的發(fā)出者或接受者提問,意為“什么”,通常作主語和賓語。如:①—Howisyoursummerholiday?你的暑假過得怎么樣?(how表示程度,作表語)—It'sOK.很好。②—Howdidyoutravelaroundtheworld?你是怎么環(huán)游世界的?(how對交通方式提問,作狀語)—Itraveledbyair.我乘飛機(jī)旅行。③—Whatdoyoulearnatschool?你在學(xué)校學(xué)什么?(what作賓語)—IlearnEnglish,mathandmanyothersubjects.我學(xué)英語、數(shù)學(xué)和其他很多的科目。(2)how與what的相關(guān)句型:1)Whatdoyouthinkof...?=Whatdoyouthinkabout...?=Howdoyoufeelabout...?=Howdoyoulike...?,意為“你認(rèn)為……怎么樣”。如:Whatdoyouthinkofthisbook?=Howdoyoulikethisbook?你認(rèn)為這本書怎么樣?2)Whatdoyoudowith...?=Howdoyoudealwith...?,意為“你怎么處理……”。如:Idon'tknowwhatIshoulddowiththematter.=Idon'tknowhowIshoulddealwiththematter.我不知道如何處理這件事。3)What'stheweatherliketoday?=How'stheweathertoday?今天天氣怎么樣?4)Idon'tknowwhattodonext.我不知道下一步該做什么。Idon'tknowhowtodoitnext.我不知道下一步該怎么做。5)感嘆句。what后加名詞,how后加形容詞或副詞。如:①Whatgood/badweatheritistoday!(weather為不可數(shù)名詞,其前不能加a)=Howgood/badtheweatheristoday!今天天氣真好/糟糕?。、赪hatafine/baddayitistoday!(day為可數(shù)名詞,其前要加a)=Howfine/badthedayistoday!今天天氣真好/糟糕??!一、用by,with,in或on填空1.—HowdoeshercousinimproveherEnglish?—Sheimprovesit________askingtheteacherforhelp.2.Tomsaid________alou
