AHealthyDiet
Healthyeatingisoneofthepillarsofahealthylifestyle.Eatingabalanceddietrichinfreshfruits,vegetables,wholegrains,leanproteinsandlow-fatdiaryproductscanhelpyouachieveandmaintainahealthyweight,boostyourenergy,improveyourmoodandreduceyourriskofchronicdiseases.Inthisarticle,wewilldiscussthekeyprinciplesofahealthydietandprovidesomehelpfultipsforincorporatinghealthierfoodchoicesintoyourdailylife.
Principle1:Choosewholefoods.
Wholefoodsrefertofoodsthathavenotbeenprocessedorrefined.Theyaretypicallyrichinnutrientsandfiberandlowincalories,sugarandfat.Examplesofwholefoodsincludefruits,vegetables,wholegrains,nuts,seedsandleanproteinslikechicken,fishandbeans.
Principle2:Limitunhealthyfats.
Unhealthyfats,suchassaturatedandtransfats,canraiseyourcholesterollevelsandincreaseyourriskofheartdisease.Tolimityourintakeofunhealthyfats,avoidprocessedfoods,friedfoods,andhigh-fatdairyproducts.Instead,chooseleanproteins,suchaschickenandfish,andusehealthyfats,suchasoliveoilandavocado,inmoderation.
Principle3:Eatarainbowoffruitsandvegetables.
Fruitsandvegetablesareloadedwithvitamins,minerals,fiberandantioxidantsthatboostyourhealthandprotectyourbodyfromdiseases.Toensurethatyou’regettingavarietyofnutrients,trytoeatawiderangeofcolorfulfruitsandvegetableseveryday.
