Thelessonisthereading,andthecentraltopicofthisunitisaboutfarmingandgreenfood.ItisapartoftrainingSs’integratingskills,withtheemphasisontrainingSstoexpresstheirideasbyusingEnglish.Thisreadingpassageisveryshortandsimple,sointhereadingteaching,Teachershouldemphasizeonreadingabilityofscanningandfindingoutinformationcorrectlyinashortgiventime.Inspeakingteaching,TeachershouldcreateasituationclosetolifetostimulateSstospeak,andguidethemtousetheusefulexpressionstoexpresstheirideas.Inwritingteaching,TeachershouldguideSstousewhattheyhavelearnedinreadingandspeakingintotheirwriting.Theteachingsyllabusdemandsthatteachingshouldmakedevelopingstudents’abilityasitsfinalaim.Thus,Isettheteachingaimsofthelessonasfollows:

Knowledgeobjectives:

Abilityobjectives:

1).Bydiscussingandreporting,Ss’thinkingwillbeactivated,theirinterestofwritingwillbearoused,andtheiroutputoflanguagewillbeincreased,thusimprovingtheirabilityoflanguageexpressing.

2).Whilediscussingandmunicating,Sswillgettoimprovetheirmunicatingstrategy,andmasterthewaytopersuadeothersinEnglish.

3).Sswillbeguidedtopractisewritingaposter,andbeencouragedtousewhattheylearnintotheirwriting,andthusfurtherdeveloptheirabilityofusinglanguage.

1).Sswillgettotrybesttocooperatewiththeirclassmatesandhelpeachother.

Amongtheseaims,theaimsofmasteringwordsandexpressions,applyingtheexpressionsinlanguagesituationsandwritingaposteraretheimportantanddifficultpoints.
