3、etc.Talk about what the students have learned so far about body language.T: We have learned a lot about body language from this unit. Some body language used in English speaking countries is different from our body language. What do you remember?S: When they call someone to come here, Americans may

4、use an index finger while we use our hand.T: Good! What else?S: They make a circle with their fingers to say OK.T: Exactly! If someone is crossing the index and the middle finger, what is he trying to say?S: He is trying to say “Good luck!”T: As you can probably guess, today we will talk about body

5、language again.On Your OwnHave the students look at the dialogue. Ask the students to complete the dialogue using the expressions given.T: Lets now turn our attention to the dialogue on page 16 and complete it.The answers: 1. We point.  2. How do you say, “Hello?”  3. waving our hand 

6、 4. What does that mean?  5. shake handsPair WorkBefore dividing the class into pairs, have the students think of personal body gestures they frequently use.T: You may have body language you frequently use. Think about it and make up the sentences in the box before you start the dialogue. Now,

7、practice the dialogue with your partner. Use your own words.Group WorkActivity A    Divide the class into groups of four. With their group, think of different kinds of body language. Think of three each for the head, hand, and body. Write down their meanings below.T: This group activi

8、ty is a kind of a guessing game. First each group should think of several gestures for expressing different things. You can draw pictures of the gestures or describe it. The pictures should be clear enough for others to recognize. If not, add some descriptions as well. Make sure you write the meanin

9、gs of the gestures on different sheets of paper.Possible descriptions of the gesturesHEAD . Nodding “Yes, thats right!” / “Yes, I want it!”       Shaking “No, you are not correct.” / “No way!” / “I cant accept it.”       Tilted head “Im int

11、t.” / “Stop.”        Make a circle with the index and the ring finger while the other fingers spread opened to be shown “OK.”        Tapping fingers “Im nervous.” / “I cant wait.”BODY . Sitting with legs crossed, foot kicking slig

12、htly “I am bored.” / “I need something interesting.”        Covering the nose “It smells bad.”        Raising the hand “Its me.” / “I am here.”Activity BGive the students paper to another group. Look at their paper. Can they guess

13、 their body language? Did they guess the body language?T: Give your paper to the group on your right. Each group should guess the body language described or drawn by the other group. Compare the meanings of the body language with what you wrote.Model DialogueA: What does this mean? The picture shows

14、 that the thumb held downward.B: We think it means “I dont like it!”A: Well, you can mean that, too. But our group has a different meaning: “Its the worst of all.”   Go over body language.              Practice the
