(for eight years in succession/ in a row)nOver/ during the past two decades since the adoption/ introduction/ implementation of the reform and opening-up policy, China has ste

3、adfastly adhered to/ firmly stick to (*insist on/ persist in) the policy and devoted/ made major efforts to (tried hard to) expand foreign trade in order to attract foreign investment.nWe need to resolutely reorient/ re-direct/ re-arrange (*adjust 細微調(diào)整) investment by shifting the governments priorit

4、y in infrastructure investment to the countryside. This makes a major change. nMany farsighted businesspeople/ visionary businessmen/ businessmen with vision (* entrepreneur 創(chuàng)業(yè)者) have turned their eyes to/ focused on China, especially to the western regions, and have earned generous profits/ are gen

5、erously returned/ rewarded from their investment in China. nChina has attained/ achieve/ reach an average annual growth rate of 9.7% for its national economy since the introduction of the reform and opening-up policy. China has evolved into an enormous market with global attraction. nThe national ec

6、onomy of China grows annually at an average rate of 9.7%.nThe average annual growth rate of Chinas economy is as high as 9.7%.nIn the socialist market economy, the advantages of public and non-public sectors, state-owned and non-state-owned sectors will all be given full play/ have their own essenti

7、al roles/ have their own significance and positive influence.nThe development of the western regions will surely serve as/ is bound to become a bridge connecting businesspeople all over the world to the Chinese market. It will also promote the common economic development and prosperity of China and

8、the world at large.nWith Chinas accession into WTO, more opportunities will be created for foreign businesspeople to participate in the development of Chinas western regions and consequently greater room/ scope will be brought about for their own development. In the meantime, the economic potential

9、of the western regions could be tapped to a deeper degree/ further exploited.nAlthough China has made impressive achievement in its development, there are still many acute problems such as overpopulation, a weak economic foundation, underdeveloped productivity, highly uneven development. Besides, th

10、ere is a sharp contradiction/ there is noticeable (obvious) conflict between the countrys economy development, its ecological environment and natural resources. nChina is ready to enhance economic cooperation with all the other countries. It will lay emphasis on the fields of trade, investment, natu

11、ral resources, information, public health service, environment protection, transportation, science and technology, agriculture, poverty aid/ relief/ reduction, human resources development and so on.nPeoples lives continued to improve. Last year, a total of 9.7 million more working opportunities were

12、 created. The urban per capita disposable income rose to 10,493 Yuan and the rural per capita net income grew to 3,255 yuan, up 9.6% and 6.2% respectively over the year before last year.nSome other 9.7 million urban residents were employed.nThe number of employed urban residents increased by 9.7 mil

13、lion.nSince the adoption of reform and opening-up policy, China has initially established a socialist market economy. Chinas productive forces and overall national strengths have improved constantly. With various social undertakings developing in full swing, Chinese people have made a historic leap

14、from subsistence level to moderate prosperity.nMake a stride/ step of history from subsistence to a better-off living standard/ from life with simply adequate food and clothing to a more comfortable life.nThe reform and opening-up policy has not only promoted the sustained, swift and sound development of Chinas national economy, but also helped restructure its economic system/ push ahead with the res
