Presently, I work at a leading Beijing-based center of telecommunications research and development, jointly run by Canadas Northern Telecom Ltd., one of the worlds foremost IT enterprises, and the Beijin

3、g University of Yanjiu, a major higher-learning institution in IT technologies in China. Engaged in cutting-edge research and development at this center, I have accumulated a lot of advanced knowledge and expertise in IT technologies in a relatively short time. I obtained this coveted position at su

4、ch a respected international establishment on the strength of my research experience at the North China Institute of Computing Technologies, the countrys oldest research organization in computer science. Exercising my diligence and creativity, I specialized in automation research and development in

5、this institute, which not only gave me the opportunity to make full use of what I had learned at the university but also spurred me to constantly improve myself. I taught myself Computer Control Technology, Contemporary Control Theory, Electrical control Technology and Process Control & Automation D

6、evice, among other subjects. Because of my strong skills in both hardware and software, I was appointed in 1995 the leader of a team to design the computer control system Distributed Control System (DCS). Under my effective leadership, the team completed design of the system structure, development o

7、f the modules, and programming of the software, and system debugging all in less than one year. A real-time computer control system, it can be combined with 2048 channels. For this project, I independently designed the kernels-CPU module, two other modules and the IO interface software. The system i

8、s now a leading product in Chinas automation industry. My research successes were built upon my solid undergraduate training at Tsinghua University, widely considered Chinas best engineering school. Between 1989 and 1994, I studied at Tsinghua as a major of electronic engineering, concentrating on b

9、asic courses as well as courses of my major. These courses solidly grounded me in theories of telecommunications and endowed me with all-round expertise in both software and hardware engineering. At the time of my graduation, my overall GPA ranked me among the top 10% of about 200 students in my gra

10、de. Taking advantage of Tsinghuas emphasis on hands-on experience, I did a lot of lab work in my undergraduate studies. In my third year, I joined the universitys Laboratory of Information Systems. In the lab I successfully designed the 2Mbs PCM Digital Interface (32 frames) used in the analogue PBX

11、 (Private Branch Exchange). In 1993, I independently designed a Speech Signal Processing Card used in the SUN SPARC station. This successful development of this card ended the situation in which the SUN SPARC station could not be used for speech processing and other multimedia applications. In the c

12、ourse of these projects, I became versed in hardware structure of the RISC computer, UNIX operating system and programming. All this laid a firm foundation for my career advancement. My academic standing was so strong that I was offered acceptance into Tsinghuas graduate school without the normally

13、mandatory admission exams. That was a privilege available to only the very best of each crop of graduating students. But I declined the offer, figuring that I should gain challenging research experience behind me, I think the time has come for me to not only undertake graduate studies but also under

14、take graduate studies in a quality program in the United States. Ideally, I would like to enter into a Masters program that would lead me into Ph. D. studies later on. In such a program, I would like to focus my studies on one or a combination of the following areas: Control Systems, Communications

15、Engineering, Digital Signal and Image Processing, or Microcomputer Applications. I will bring to the program a professional background significantly enrich my knowledge, enhance my expertise, and sharpen my research skills. If you accept me, you should find, some years down the road, that I will be

16、a leading scientist in Chinas efforts to develop its IT industries. Yours sincerely, 新西蘭留學專業(yè)挑選 一、興趣第一 在挑選專業(yè)的時候，大家要放在首位的，應(yīng)該是自己的興趣和喜好，尤其要結(jié)合自己在國內(nèi)的優(yōu)勢，因為在學習的時候，只有興趣才是自己的老師。 主動的學習效果，肯定是要比被動的經(jīng)受要好得多的，選擇一門自己擅長的專業(yè)，在未來的學習中，更容易發(fā)揮自己的真實水平。 二、考慮就業(yè) 當然，未來的就業(yè)也不能完全不考慮，沒有絕對好就業(yè)的專業(yè)，自然也沒有完全不好就業(yè)的專業(yè)，關(guān)鍵在于自己能不能夠把握住重點。 所以在明確專業(yè)

17、之前，要對專業(yè)未來的就業(yè)方向和就業(yè)前景進行考察，在未來能夠從事那些職業(yè)，然后明確自己未來的方向，進而再為之努力。 三、對比大學 有不少專業(yè)，在不同的大學中都會有設(shè)立，但是不同的大學的能力是不一樣的，有高也有低，有些知名大學中，你所選的專業(yè)并不是優(yōu)勢專業(yè)，那么就沒有優(yōu)勢。 而在一些名氣小一些的大學中，你所選擇的專業(yè)可能會更有優(yōu)勢，這樣的大學才對比的發(fā)展和未來更有幫助，在明確之前，一定要事先做好功課。 四、切勿盲目 有些專業(yè)由于市場的需求，會在一段時間內(nèi)特別受歡迎，進而造成眾多學生的追捧，形成熱門的假象，事實上當社會需求量下降以后，專業(yè)也隨之冷門。 只有真正適合自己的專業(yè)，才是好專業(yè)，不要盲目追捧

18、一些貌似熱門的專業(yè)，在學習的幾年中，專業(yè)的變數(shù)太多了。 留學新西蘭的真實情況 一、室友方面 一個人去到國外讀書時，依據(jù)自己選的住宿方式的不同，遇到的室友或是鄰居也是不一樣的。有些同學說：“在剛開始去的時候，心里對于這些還是有一些想象的，也搜索過新西蘭的生活環(huán)境與生活方式，但是總歸是在網(wǎng)上了解到的，和現(xiàn)實還是有些不一樣的。”，還有一些同學形容：“那是共同作戰(zhàn)的朋友啊，是一起開心一起分擔責任的室友?！?，總體來說，大多數(shù)同學反應(yīng)是比較好的。室友之間會互相幫助，一起分擔家務(wù)，并且生活的環(huán)境是特別好的，大家都比較尊重彼此，所以公共區(qū)域一直很干凈，也很安靜。 二、交友方面 很多人因為是去到一個新的環(huán)境，所以心里會有些忐忑導致自己會有些不合群，但其實去到一個新的環(huán)境是要多交當?shù)氐呐笥训?，這樣不僅有利于你更快的適應(yīng)當?shù)氐纳?，也會讓你的學習生活不在那么單調(diào)。并且新西蘭人是特別友好的，對于外來的人他們是特別熱情的。并且新西蘭有著許多的中國學生，你們會有著許多的共同話題。所以不要一直 宅在家里，要多出去交朋友。 三、語言
