《高級英語閱讀教程》自學(xué)指導(dǎo)

(―)緒論
一、課程知識體系
本教程旨在通過課文閱讀分析及理解,技巧的傳授與操練等幫助
學(xué)員掌握閱讀技巧,擴(kuò)大詞匯量,提高理解能力,加快閱讀速度。
閱讀作為一種技能,是語言交際中一種有目的的手段。大量的閱
讀目的在于收集信息。信息的內(nèi)容是多樣的,因而閱讀的技巧也是多
樣的,如略讀(skimming)、快讀(scanning).,查詢(search-reading)>
感受性閱讀(receptivereading)、響應(yīng)性閱讀(responsereading)、反
思性閱讀(reflexivereading)等。各種閱讀技巧的目的也各不相同。
略讀是為了了解中心思想,快讀是為了尋找已知信息,查詢是為了尋
找未知信息,感受性閱讀是為了發(fā)掘作者的意圖,響應(yīng)性閱讀是為了
琢磨作者的意圖,而反思性閱讀是為了強(qiáng)調(diào)讀者的主動性和讓讀者主
動進(jìn)行思考。本教程涵蓋的閱讀技能以上述六項大題為主,輔以預(yù)測
(anticipation)>猜測(guessing)、推理(makinginferences)等以及
達(dá)到此六項技巧所必須的語言知識如構(gòu)詞法、文體結(jié)構(gòu)、修辭手段及
比喻用法等。
二、課程學(xué)習(xí)要求
1.本課程學(xué)習(xí)范圍及要求
本課程學(xué)習(xí)范圍包括由上海外語教育出版社1998年出版、黃次
棟、唐力行主編的《高級英語閱讀教程》(上、下冊)共計24課的內(nèi)
容。每學(xué)期面授上完一冊,共計12課。計劃2個學(xué)期完成此課程。
學(xué)員在學(xué)習(xí)過程中,要帶著問題有目的地采用相應(yīng)的技巧閱讀課
文。通過閱讀汲取信息,克服信息差,解決閱讀問題。在語言訓(xùn)練上
將汲取的信息轉(zhuǎn)化為說、寫技能訓(xùn)練的信息輸入,將視覺的信息碼轉(zhuǎn)
化為說、寫的語詞碼,并達(dá)到視頻與音頻的統(tǒng)一,閱讀與說寫技能的
統(tǒng)一,同時在此過程中提高解決實際問題的能力。
2.應(yīng)掌握的知識點及層次要求
《高級英語閱讀教程》(上、下冊)每冊有12課,兩冊共計24
課。每課都由交際功能(CommunicativeFunction)、預(yù)習(xí)(Preview)、
練習(xí)(Practice)、閱讀理解(ReadingComprehension)和兩篇課文(TextA、
TextB)組成。其中,預(yù)習(xí)又包括課文指導(dǎo)和問題(GuidingStatements
andQuestions)和課文注釋(Notes),練習(xí)包括詞匯、句子結(jié)構(gòu)、綜合填
空、改錯和翻譯這些練習(xí),閱讀理解主要介紹閱讀技巧。TextA還包
括理解和討論問題(ComprehensionandDiscussionQuestions)、文章結(jié)
構(gòu)分析(Organization)、推理猜測(GuessWork)以及文體、修辭、語境
等知識的介紹。
這里,我們根據(jù)閱讀目的將教學(xué)內(nèi)容分為三類:
1)為汲取信息預(yù)讀:提供課文及預(yù)讀問題,使學(xué)員帶著問題讀找
信息答案;提供課文注釋,幫助讀者消除閱讀障礙;提供詞、片語、
句的結(jié)構(gòu)知識,提高學(xué)員認(rèn)字、辨字、猜字及用字能力,擴(kuò)大詞匯量,
提高閱讀速度;提供謀篇布局、修辭文體、比喻手段等知識,提高學(xué)
員閱讀理解能力。
2)為求閱讀效果、掌握及擴(kuò)大汲取信息而閱讀:以TextA課文
為重點,帶著課文后的問題重讀,學(xué)員自檢理解力。在語言訓(xùn)練上利
用課文提供的內(nèi)容及問題進(jìn)行口、筆頭討論。通過各種形式的練習(xí)提
高學(xué)員語言素質(zhì),促進(jìn)閱讀能力的發(fā)展。
3)為熟練運(yùn)用具體的閱讀技巧而三讀:以TextB課文為重點,
結(jié)合所討論的技巧在閱讀中運(yùn)用。
3.學(xué)員自主學(xué)習(xí)要求
學(xué)員在面授前,應(yīng)借助學(xué)習(xí)工具如詞典、參考練習(xí)答案等,自主
學(xué)習(xí)《高級英語閱讀教程》(上、下冊)并認(rèn)真做好筆記。學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容
主要包括:
1)查閱課文中存在的主要生詞;
2)略讀Preview中的內(nèi)容并完成其中的練習(xí);
3)認(rèn)真研讀TextA課文,并將難點用筆記記下來,以便面授
時請任課教師答疑解難;
4)借助學(xué)習(xí)工具如詞典.、參考練習(xí)答案等完成TextA課文后
的練習(xí)以及教材設(shè)計的練習(xí),并將難點用筆記記下來,以便面
授時請任課教師答疑解難;
5)認(rèn)真閱讀TextB并完成其后練習(xí),并將難點用筆記記下來,
以便面授時請任課教師答疑解難。
4.面授輔導(dǎo)設(shè)計
面授主要以答疑解難為主,同時向?qū)W員系統(tǒng)介紹課本相關(guān)知識,
并介紹英語學(xué)習(xí)策略。具體辦法如下:
1)檢查學(xué)員自學(xué)情況,并針對學(xué)員自學(xué)程度調(diào)整教學(xué)內(nèi)容;
2)解答學(xué)員在自學(xué)中遇到的知識難點;
3)系統(tǒng)歸納《高級英語閱讀教程》(上、下冊)各課的課本知
識;
4)針對學(xué)員自學(xué)中學(xué)習(xí)的困難,介紹實用、先進(jìn)的英語學(xué)習(xí)
策略。
5.課程考核要求及考核方式
任課教師自己制作模擬試題,考卷內(nèi)容均隨機(jī)選自模擬試題???/p>
核方式為閉卷考試。
三、學(xué)習(xí)支持服務(wù)方式及承諾
學(xué)員在自主學(xué)習(xí)期間,任課教師可以通過電話、手機(jī)短信或網(wǎng)絡(luò)
為學(xué)員答疑解難。
承諾:凡學(xué)員在自學(xué)過程中有疑問一定耐心細(xì)致解答。
