經(jīng)典word整理文檔,僅參考,轉(zhuǎn)Word此處可刪除頁(yè)眉頁(yè)腳。本資料屬于網(wǎng)絡(luò)整理,如有侵權(quán),請(qǐng)聯(lián)系刪除,謝謝!寧波大學(xué)答題紙1課號(hào):067Y02C00學(xué)號(hào):096070145課程名稱(chēng)英語(yǔ)國(guó)家概況姓名:陶夢(mèng)雅改卷教師:林立紅得分:A(Dec,2010)ThoughtsoftheBritishEducationSystemAbstract:BritainisatypicalwesterncountrywhileChinaiseastern.Bothcountrieshavequitedifferentnationalconditionsandideologies,soaretheireducationsystems.However,asforsomeaspectsofeducation,theyalsosharesomesimilarities.nomatterwhatkindofeducation,thebesteducationsystemistheonethatsuitsthesituationofaAndlikeinChina,BritisheducationsystemalsohasitsimportantvalueinBritain.Keywords:educationsystem;difference;similarity;valueNowadays,educationisregardedasaveryimportantfactortosuccessinlife.Nomatterhowdifferentoursocialandculturalenvironmentsare,mostofusapproveofeducationspositiveeffectsonsociety.However,asforthespecificeducationsystem,differentcountrieshavedifferentopinions.Afterall,thereareindeeddifferencesinnationalconditionsandideologies,whichinfluencethedevelopmentofeducation.SoitdoesinBritainandChina.Onthesurfaceatleast,BritishandChineseeducationsystemsseemquitedifferent.FirstIwanttomentionthetypesofeducationsystemsintwocountries.ComparedwiththeuniqueeducationsysteminChinesemainland,theeducationsysteminBritaingenerallycanbeclassifiedintotwotypes:theeducationsysteminEngland,WalesandNorthernIrelandandtheeducationsysteminScotland.ThereasonisthateducationintheUnitedKingdomisadevolvedmatterwitheachofthecountriesoftheUnitedKingdomhavingseparatesystemsunderseparategovernments.ButasforChina,theunifiededucationsystemisestablishedbytheChinesecentralgovernment.Sothecompareandcontrastarebasedonthegeneralsituationabouttheeducationsysteminbothcountries.2.DifferencesOneobviousdifferenceisthelawprotectionforeducation.InBritain,ifachildfailstoattendschool,aSchoolAttendanceOfficewillcometohishousetofindoutandifthereisnogoodreasontheparentsmaybeprosecuted.Fromsuchacase,wecanfigureouttheharshlawprotectionforBritisheducationtosomeextent.Incontrast,althoughChinahasalsoadoptedanine-yearcompulsoryschoolingsystem,whichmeansallchildrenarerequiredtoattendschoolforatleastnineyears.However,asamatteroffact,theChinesegovernmentdoesn’tcarryoutthislaweffectivelyowingtovariousreasons,suchasthelargepopulation,theeconomicstrengthandsoon.Everyyeartherearecountlessstudentswhocannotgotoschoolorleaveschoolwithoutcompletingthenine-yearbasiceducating.ItisreallyanurgentproblemweChineseshouldsolve.anotherdifferencereferstothereligion.Britishschoolsarerequiredtoprovidereligiouseducationanddailycollectiveworshipforallpupils,providedparentsdonotthinkotherwise.Whatsmore,toprotectfreedomofbelief,thegovernmentallowslocaleducationauthoritiesandschoolstodeterminethecontentoftheirreligiousinstructionaccordingtothedemandofthelocalAstheyclaimthatthepurposeofreligiouseducationistocultivatepupils’moralsense.However,thingsaretotallydifferentinChina.Chineseeducationpayslittleattentiontothereligion.Theresnosuchclassesrelatedwithreligioninstudents’curriculumsexceptonlyafewinuniversitystudents.ThereforemostChinesestudentsdonthavereligionbelief.ActuallytheyarerequiredtoabandonanyreligionbeliefiftheywanttojointheThemethodforcultivatingthemoralsenseinChinaistooffercoursesrelatedwithwhichalsoworkswell.Otherareasofdifferenceinvolveissuesofeducationalideasandmethods.Asweallknow,Britisheducationisfamousfor,standardandTheypursuetheeffectivenessoftheireducationandplacetheirstudentatthecentralposition.Forexample,inaBritishclass,itisthestageofallthestudents.Everystudenthasthechancetoperformthemselves,toshowtheirownopinions,tomakeexperimentsbythemselves.Inthemeanwhile,theteacheronlyplaysaroleofaguiderandanorganizer.Inaword,thestudentsarethestarsinclass.IthinksuchaneducationalideaiswhatweChineseshouldlearnfrom.InChina,themostcommonsituationisthattheclassisalmosttheshowoftheteacherhimself.Theteacherteacheswhatheissupposedtoteachandthestudentslistentowhattheteachertellsthemaccuratelyandreciteitagainandagainafterclass.Fewwhysandwondersareputupwithinoroutoftheclass.Inthiscase,studentsarejustlikeasortofanimatesausagecasingandintotheemptycasing,theteachersaresupposedtostuffeducation.Fortunately,nowadaystheChinesegovernmenthasattachedmoreattentiontothisproblemandtakensomeactions.ButRomeisnotbuiltinoneday.Soitisstillalongwayforustogo.Inspiteofthesedifferences,thesetwoeducationsystemsshareseveralimportantsimilarities.Both,forexample,fallintosuchcategories:pre-schooleducation,primaryschool,secondaryschoolandAndexceptsomesmalldetails,primaryschoolandsecondaryschoolarebothcompulsoryeducationinbothsystems.The1996EducationActoftheUKstates:theparentofeverychildofcompulsoryschoolageshallcausehimtoreceiveefficientfull-timeeducationsuitabletohisage,abilityandaptitudeandtoanyspecialeducationalneedshemayhaveeitherbyregularattendanceatschoolorotherwise.AndinChinatheresalsoanine-yearcompulsoryschoolingsystem.What’more,studentsarefreetoacceptthecompulsoryeducationinsomerichareasinChina,whichreallymakesgreatprogress.Bothsystem,moreover,havethestandardizedtestpreparedforstudentswhowanttoreceivehighereducation.InBritain,theGCSE;whileinChinatheCollegeEntranceExamination.UnliketheUSeducationthatputsmoreemphasisonequalchanceandequaltreatment,bothteststendtosegregatestudentsonthebasisoftheiracademicIftheywanttobeadmittedtoabettersuchastheOxbridgeuniversityorCambridgeUniversity,theresnodoubtthattheyshouldworkharder.Lastbutnotleast,academicyearswithinthesystemsarethesame.Nowadays,mostuniversitieshavechosentohavetwoacademicyearstomeettheneedsofthissocietyandinChina,mostoftheschools,includingprimaryschoolsandsecondaryschools,havetwoacademicyears.AndIthinkthisacademic-yearsystemisquitereasonable.4.ThevalueofBritisheducationsysteminBritishsocietyBritishandChinesesystem,different,yetalike.Wedohavesomanytotalkaboutthem.sreallyalongstorytotell.However,whatconclusionwecandrawisthatjustlikeChineseeducationplaysavitalroleinChinaasweChineseknow,BritisheducationalsohasitsveryimportantvalueinBritishFirst,asadevelopednationthathaslimitednaturalresources,Britaingreatlydependsuponprofessionalsandaskilledworkforce.ThismakesitnecessaryforBritaintopaygreatattentiontothedevelopmentofscienceandAndeducationisjustthekeypoint.Schoolsareinvestinginhumancapital,thecradleofthepillarsofthegrowthofthemotherland,isthePureLandandshapinggoodminds.Withthepropereducation,Britainhasnurturedsomanyqualifiedcitizens.AndwiththeeffortofthoseoutstandingtalentsandthehelpofallthepeopleinthenowadaysBritainhasbecomeoneoftheworldpowersallaroundtheworld.smore,seducationaimstodeveloptheabilitiesofindividualsfortheirownbenefitsandthatofsocietyasawhole,whichbecomeanimportantfactorforBritishpeoplesthinkinghighlyofindividualism.ItisknowntoallthattheBritishpaygreatattentiontotheprivacy,whichplaysaimportantroleinBritishculture.5.ConclusionHometosomeoftheoldestuniversitiesintheworld,Britisheducationhasbeensynonymouswithexcellence.AndnowadaysmoreandmoreforeignstudentstendtoenrollinBritishschools,especiallytheoutstandinguniversities.However,nothingcanbeperfect.Sotherearestillsom
