Our(ifeisnothingmorethanourtime.Tokilltimeisthereforeaformofsuicide.Weare

Nowifalltheseyearsweretobededucledfromthetermoverwhichourlifeextends,weshall
findabouttwentyorthirtyyearsatourdisposalforactivework.Whoeverremembersthiscan
neverwillinglywasteasinglemomentofhislife.
Alltimeisprecious;butthetimeofourchildhoodandofouryouthismorepreciousthan
anyotherportionofourexistence.Forthosearetheperiodswhenalonewecanacquireknowledge
anddevelopourcapacities.
Ifweallowthesemorninghoursoflifetoslipaway,weshallneverbeabletorecoupthe
loss.Justasmoneylaidoutatinterestdoublesandtreblesitselfintime,sotheprecioushours
ofchiIdhoodandyouth,ifproperlyused,willyieldusincalculableadvantages.
珍惜你的時間
諺語說:“時間就是金錢”。這意味著,每一刻都能讓我們的口袋里有錢。
如果我們的時間得到有效利用,它要么會產(chǎn)生一些有用而重要的工作,在市場上會有價格:要么它會
增加我們的經(jīng)驗,增加我們的能力,以便在適當(dāng)?shù)臋C(jī)會到來時能夠賺錢。讓那些不在乎浪費(fèi)時間的人記住
這一點(diǎn)。
我們的生命就是我們的時間。因此,消磨時間就是一種自殺。當(dāng)我們想到死亡時,我們感到震驚,我
們不遺余力,不辭辛勞,不惜一切代價來保全生命。
但是,我們常常對失去一小時或一天漠不關(guān)心,忘記了我們的生命是一天和一小時的總和。因此,浪
費(fèi)一天或一個小時就是喪失生命。我們的生命是短暫的,總共有七八十年。
但其中近三分之一的時間必須在睡眠中度過;有些年要花在吃飯上;有些花在陸地旅行和海上航行上;
有些花在歡樂中;有些花在照看我們最近和最親愛的親戚的病床上。
如果把這些年都從我們的壽命中扣除,我們會發(fā)現(xiàn)大約有二三十年可以用來積極工作。記住這一點(diǎn)的
人永遠(yuǎn)不會愿意浪費(fèi)生命中的任何一刻。
所有的時間都是寶貴的,但是我們的童年和青春的時間比我們生命中的任何其他部分都更寶貴。因為
在這些時期,我們可以獨(dú)自獲得知識和發(fā)展我們的能力。

Tokilltime為動詞不定式作主語的用法??梢杂胕t作形式主語:Itisthereforeaformof

的事。此外,動詞不定式還有如下用法:
