MechanicsofMaterialsTypesofBeams,loadsandreactionsWelcometoMechanicsofMaterias,lastvideogaveanintrodutiontothemaintopicsinthischapter,thisvideodiscussestypesofbeams,loadsandreactions.SimplificationofbeamsAsaforementioned,beamsareslenderstructuralcomponentswhichrestonsuppportsandcarryexternalloads.Ingeneral,supportsandexternalforcesofbeamsareverycomplex.*Weshoulddosomenecessary*simplificationforthemtohelpwithbeamanalysis.**Therefore,apropersketchforbeamsneedstobedonebeforeanyfurthercalculation.①Simplificationofbeams:
