Twoofthesuspect'ssisterswatchedtheproceedings.Onesobbedduringthehearingwhile

theotherheldababy.

Beforehewasledoutofthecourtroom,thesuspectseemedtosmileandtogestureakissto

hisfamilymembersintheroom.

AmongthecrowdwasayoungfriendofMrTsarnaev,HankAlvarez,19.Hesaid:"Just

knowinghim,ifshardformetofacethefactthathedidit.”

MrTsarnaev,aUScitizen,wasnotincourtlastmonthduringanindictmenthearing,whena

federalgrandjuryagreedthatheshouldbetriedon30charges.
