課程的教學(xué)目的與任務(wù)

大學(xué)英語4的教學(xué)目的是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生具備綜合應(yīng)用英語的能力，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生具有較強的閱讀能力和一定的聽、說、寫、譯能力，使他們能用英語交流信息。大學(xué)英語教學(xué)應(yīng)幫助學(xué)生打下扎實的語言基礎(chǔ)，掌握良好的語言學(xué)習(xí)方法，提高文化素養(yǎng)，以適應(yīng)社會發(fā)展和經(jīng)濟建設(shè)的需要。

課程的基本要求

根據(jù)因材施教、突出個性發(fā)展的教學(xué)規(guī)律，并參照教育部委托大學(xué)英語研究會與課程指導(dǎo)委員會制定的《大學(xué)英語課程教學(xué)要求》（以下簡稱《課程要求》），我校大學(xué)英語課程實行英語教學(xué)，使大多數(shù)學(xué)生能夠達到基本要求，并使一部分學(xué)生能夠達到較高要求和更高要求。

（1）聽力理解能力：能夠基本聽懂來自英語國家人士的談話和講座，能聽懂題材熟悉、篇幅較長的國內(nèi)英語廣播。能基本聽懂外國專家用英語講授的課程，掌握其中心大意，抓住要點。

（2）口語表達能力：能夠和來自英語國家人士進行比較流利的會話，能基本表達個人意見、情感、觀點等，能基本陳述事實、事件、理由，表達思想清楚。

（3）閱讀理解能力：能基本閱讀英語國家報刊雜志的大眾性、一般性題材的文章，理解其主要意義。能略讀新聞、人物、事件等報道的主要內(nèi)容，抓住其要點，能跳讀有關(guān)材料，快速查找所需信息。能借助詞典讀懂與專業(yè)相關(guān)的技術(shù)性論文，從中查找所需信息。

（4）書面表達能力：能就所讀一般主題的文章寫出其摘要或大綱，能闡述自己對某一焦點問題的觀點，并能基本陳述贊成或反對的理由。能寫出日常的應(yīng)用文章，結(jié)構(gòu)與表達符合應(yīng)用文體規(guī)范。

（5）翻譯能力：能借助詞典翻譯一般英美報刊上題材熟悉的文章，作到基本準(zhǔn)確地傳達原文的意思。能將與專業(yè)相關(guān)的英語資料摘譯為中文，譯文符合中文表達習(xí)慣。能將與專業(yè)相關(guān)的中文報告、論文等譯為英文，譯文基本符合英文表達習(xí)慣。

（6）詞匯量要求：學(xué)生掌握的總詞匯量應(yīng)達到4500個單詞和700個詞組，其中2000個單詞為積極詞匯，達到能確切運用。
