1、作不及物動詞

表示“剩下”、“仍有”,只能用于主動語態(tài),不可直接接賓語.

2.表示“留下”、“逗留”

Theywent,butIremained.他們走了,但我留下來了.

表示“尚待”、“留待”

2、作系動詞

表示“一直保持”(處于某種狀態(tài))”后接名詞

后面接seat時,seat要變成seated,看成形容詞形式,意思“就座的”.也就是remain+形容詞的句式
