分不清trip和travel?來看看和旅行有關(guān)的習(xí)語Whats the difference between TRIP and TRAVEL? They are both verbs and nouns, but we usually dont use them interchangeably.Trip和Travel的區(qū)別是什么?他們都可以同時(shí)作名詞和動(dòng)詞,但是卻不能替換。In todays lesson, youre going to learn the difference between TRIP and TRAVEL, and some very useful travel idioms!今天的課程我們將學(xué)習(xí)Trip和Travel的區(qū)別,還有一些和旅行有關(guān)的習(xí)語General Rule一般規(guī)則Ok, as a general rule, in 95% of the cases, trip is a noun and travel is a verb.一般規(guī)則即95%的情況下,trip是名詞而travel是動(dòng)詞。So, “I traveled to Germany last weekend.” “I took a trip.”例如:上周我去德國旅游了;我去旅行了。You can also say “to make a trip,” but this is more, its a shorter trip that has a specific purpose.你可以說“to make a trip”,但是這通常是短途出行而且有一定目的?!癐 made a trip to the grocery store to buy some milk.”比如,“我去了雜貨店買牛奶?!盨o, in most cases, trip is a noun and travel is a verb.所以,大多情況下,trip是名詞而travel是動(dòng)詞。When Is It Different?區(qū)別Sometimes, you can actually use travel as a noun.有時(shí)候,travel也可以作名詞。So, for example, “Travel expands your perspective on life.” Thats a noun.比如,“旅行能增長生活閱歷”,這時(shí)travel就作名詞。Or, if you use with the possessive, “My travels really expanded my perspective.”或者和所有格形容詞連用,“我的旅行增加了我的閱歷?!盩his is more like my collective experience of traveling.作名詞時(shí),travel表達(dá)的是所有旅行經(jīng)歷這個(gè)整體。And trip, when used as a verb, is to trip over something, when youre walking and something blocks your path, and you fall. Thats to trip.trip同樣可以用作動(dòng)詞,用法是“trip over something”,表示走路時(shí)有東西擋路,導(dǎo)致你摔倒了。Its also used when you trip on drugs, like on LSD, or if you have a crazy idea.trip還可以和藥物臉用,如“trip on LSD”表示服用迷幻藥后產(chǎn)生幻覺,也可以表示你有了一個(gè)瘋狂的想法。So trip can be used as a synonym for travel, but this is quite rare, and its usually used for like a short trip.所以trip可以作為travel的同義詞,但是非常少見,而且一般只用來形容短途出行。Expressions常用表達(dá)Hit the Road上路So, to hit the road means to leave. So, “Im going to hit the road now,” Im going to go on the highway and then leave.“hit the road”表示離開。所以我要上路了,就是我要離開了。One For the Road臨走前再For example, maybe you are eating cookies at somebodys house, and you want to grab one to take on the road, so you say like “Ok, Ill take one for the road.”比如你在別人家吃餅干,臨走前你想再吃一個(gè),你就可以說“吃完這個(gè)我就上路?!盬anderlust旅游欲Awonderlustis like aninexplicabledesire to travel, to hit the road, to go on your journey and explore.旅游欲是指想去旅行,周游探索的欲望。Off the Beaten Path與眾不同的探險(xiǎn)Off the beaten path means to explore places that arent really on an established pattern that people normally go to.Off the Beaten Path表示以不同尋常的方式去探索某處。Itchy Feet腳癢Itchy feet is when your feet itch, not literally, but when you really, really want to leave and go travel.“Itchy Feet”字面意思是腳癢,但是真正的意思是你想去出去走走,旅游。So, to finish, lets go through a couple of expressions that you say to people when theyre leaving on a trip.接下來,我們來看一看對(duì)即將旅行的人可以使用的表達(dá)。Happy Trails旅途快樂Happy trails. This is just, I hope your trails, or your path, is happy, is successful.“Happy Trails”就是表示我希望你旅途愉快。Godspeed祝你一路順風(fēng)The next one, which is a little bit more grandiose, is godspeed. Godspeed is more like when youre about to set off, or to leave on an adventure, you say to that person “Godspeed!”這個(gè)表達(dá)比較浮夸,一般是某人要出發(fā)、離開或去探險(xiǎn)前,你對(duì)他說“一路順風(fēng)!”Safe Travels路上注意安全Another one Safe travels. Safe travels. Its like “I hope you have a safe trip, have a good trip.”“Safe Travels”就相當(dāng)于,一路順風(fēng),旅途安全。Life is a Journey, Not a Destination生活就像一場旅行,沒有目的地。The final one is a really great expression thats sort of a cliche, but I use this one all the time. Its part of an Aerosmith song, but “Life is a journ
