For improving the efficiency of multi-hop scheduling, we focus on a new multi-hop transmission model and transfer the LTC problem to a speci

In the proposed logical topologies, our multi-hop scheduling algorithms can easily overlap the tuning latency and reduce the number of tuning operations on each node. However, wavelength chirp and chromatic dispe

13、rsion severely limit VCSEL performance at bit rates of 10Gb/s and above. We experimentally show how off-center wavelength filtering of the VCSEL spectrum at an array waveguide grating can be used to mitigate the effect of chirp and the dispersion penalty. Transmission at 10Gb/s VCSEL over 23.6km of

14、single mode fiber is experimentally demonstrated, with a dispersion penalty of only 2.9dB. Simulated results are also presented which show that off-center wavelength filtering can extend the 10Gb/s network reach from 11.7km to 25.8km for a 4dB dispersion penalty. 18、r a communication model to route requests subject to delay bounds. Since the NP-hard minimum Steiner tree problem can be reduced to the DRWA-DC problem, it is very unlikely to derive optimal solutions in a reasonable time for the DRWA-DC problem. In this paper, we circumvent to apply a meta-heuristi

19、c based upon the ant colony optimization (ACO) approach to produce approximate solutions in a timely manner. In the literature, the ACO approach has been successfully applied to several well-known combinatorial optimization problems whose solutions might be in the form of paths on the associated gra

20、phs. The ACO algorithm proposed in this paper incorporates several new features so as to select wavelength links for which the communication cost and the transmission delay of routing the request can be minimized as much as possible subject to the specified delay bound. Computational experiments are

21、 designed and conducted to study the performance of the proposed algorithm. Comparing with the optimal solutions found by an ILP formulation, numerical results evince that the ACO algorithm is effective and robust in providing quality approximate solutions to the DRWA-DC problem.Article Outline1.
