1、Popular Music (拓展模塊)教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)方案山西省朔州市應(yīng)縣地區(qū)應(yīng)縣職業(yè)技術(shù)學(xué)校 學(xué)員姓名賈秀蘭課題名稱Unit 8 Popular Music科目英語(yǔ)年級(jí)高三教學(xué)時(shí)間45分鐘學(xué)習(xí)者分析1. 職業(yè)高中高三的學(xué)生已經(jīng)具備了一些基礎(chǔ)知識(shí),對(duì)本單元語(yǔ)法“不定式或動(dòng)詞的-ing形式在動(dòng)詞之后的用法”能作簡(jiǎn)單的表述;2. 更加喜歡流行音樂,比較熟悉“披頭士”樂隊(duì)及著名歌手邁克爾杰克遜,能說出他們的一些代表作品,學(xué)生的這一興趣對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)本文有很大幫助;3. 這些學(xué)生大都16、17歲,活潑好動(dòng),但注意力集中時(shí)間較短,自律性較差,不善于積極主動(dòng)發(fā)現(xiàn)和探索問題。教學(xué)目標(biāo)一、情感態(tài)度與價(jià)值觀1.養(yǎng)成課前預(yù)習(xí)生
2、詞以及課文內(nèi)容的良好習(xí)慣;2.學(xué)習(xí)著名歌手的成功事跡以及他們不畏艱難的毅力和勇氣,激勵(lì)學(xué)生確定自己的人生目標(biāo),策劃職業(yè)生涯,并為之努力的決心。二、過程與方法1.播放幾首著名的英語(yǔ)流行樂曲,并準(zhǔn)備“約翰列儂、保羅麥卡特尼、喬治哈里森、斯圖爾特蘇特克里弗、彼得貝特斯”的圖片,讓學(xué)生討論自己喜歡的歌曲及這些人物;2.快速閱讀課文,分組討論并讓小組代表介紹著名歌手的成功事跡以及他們所處的時(shí)代背景。三、知識(shí)與技能1.注意文中出現(xiàn)的“動(dòng)詞之后的動(dòng)詞不定式或-doing形式”,在閱讀中歸納常見的短語(yǔ)、句型,并能夠發(fā)現(xiàn)疑難點(diǎn)問題;2.能用正確的語(yǔ)音、語(yǔ)調(diào)朗讀課文和復(fù)述課文。教學(xué)重點(diǎn)、難點(diǎn)1.掌握教學(xué)目標(biāo)中的K

4、music?How many pop singers do you know In China or in other countries?Do you know anything about the Beatles?總結(jié)以上問題的討論,導(dǎo)入課文教學(xué)。教學(xué)活動(dòng)2運(yùn)用插圖及DVD光盤展開教學(xué):1. 播放幾首著名的英語(yǔ)流行歌曲,回答:What kind of music did you hear just now?Can you sing an English pop song?2. 給予學(xué)生適當(dāng)?shù)奶崾?,展示插圖并討論: Who are the four young men?What are th
5、ey?教學(xué)活動(dòng)3提出Reading Comprehension中的5個(gè)問題,帶著問題進(jìn)行快速閱讀:提示:標(biāo)記出現(xiàn)的語(yǔ)法點(diǎn),及難于理解的句子或短語(yǔ)。5個(gè)問題:1. Why did popular music develop very quickly in recent years?2. What types of music are included in popular music?3. Who were the Beatles? Why were they loved by young people?4. What was the new method that the record com

Has popular music changed much over the past two decades?在4分鐘的時(shí)間內(nèi)進(jìn)行快速閱讀,之后要求回答,并掌握學(xué)生的快速閱讀理解情況。教學(xué)活動(dòng)4舉例講解Key Words和Useful Expressions的用法:1. Pop music accelerated(加速)注意時(shí)態(tài)用過去式 in the twentieth century.2. The first thing came to our mind is music that belongs to the here an
7、d now(此時(shí)此地).更多用作副詞,在句中作狀語(yǔ)3. As句中as從屬連詞,表原因或理由,意思是“因?yàn)?,由于?serious concert music grew more difficult to understand,it became less capable of filling the needs of the mass market for music.4. It is no wonder that(難怪),over the past century,popular music has grown to an amazing degree.5. 在第4句中degree作名詞“程
8、度”,to a .degree意思是“到.程度,在.程度上”之后,播放DVD中關(guān)于ReadingPopular Music的課文錄音。Homework完成Reading Comprehension和Language Study中的練習(xí)。板書設(shè)計(jì)Popular Music1. 回憶本單元的重要生詞及短語(yǔ)(注意發(fā)音規(guī)則):Key Words: case revolution accelerate degree influence invent spread profit establish album tenderUseful Expressions: belong to; demand for

Grammar Focus: 不定式或動(dòng)詞-ing形式在動(dòng)詞之后的用法3. 應(yīng)掌握的知識(shí)與技能: 能用較正確的語(yǔ)音、語(yǔ)調(diào)朗讀和復(fù)述課文。課后小結(jié)與反思1. 本文是綜合性精讀材料,只有深入閱讀理解,才能掌握教學(xué)目標(biāo)中的Key Words和Useful Expressions的基本用法,并注意不定式或動(dòng)詞-ing形式在動(dòng)詞之后的用法;2. 通過文章的學(xué)習(xí)及光盤錄音的跟讀,完成能夠用較正確的語(yǔ)音、語(yǔ)調(diào)朗讀和復(fù)述課文這一目標(biāo);3. 在一節(jié)課內(nèi)要進(jìn)行回憶知識(shí)、展示圖片 、分組討論、小組發(fā)言、語(yǔ)法分析、快速閱讀、精
10、讀以及舉例講解重難點(diǎn),完成課后練習(xí),課堂任務(wù)量較大,時(shí)間有些緊張,我覺得沒有很好的完成精讀這一內(nèi)容,這是一個(gè)需要改進(jìn)的地方,如果分兩節(jié)課進(jìn)行操練效果會(huì)更好 。附:課文原文Popular MusicWhen we think of popular music, the first thing that comes to out mind is music that belongs to the here and now; disco, country, and rock and roll. In each of these cases, popular music is music of the
11、 present. it has a wide audience and is very popular .The revolution in popular music was started with romanticism .It accelerated in the twentiethcentury. As serious concert music grew more difficult to understand, it became less capable of filling the needs of the mass market for music .However, p
12、opular music met that needs.Around the turn of the twentieth century, the demand for music began to grow greater .Furthermore, powerful new technologies were developed, one after the other ,to promote the spread of music to the masses; phonographs radio , radio, movies ,and, finally, television. It
13、is no wonder that ,over the past century, popular music has grown to an amazing degree .Today popular music ,also called pop music, enjoys the widest audience in the world, it is produced for and sold to a broad audiences, types of popular music include jazz, music from motion pictures, country musi
14、c , and rock music .influenced by social, economic ,and technological forces ,popular music is closely linked to the social position of its performers and audiences.The leading pop music singers were the Beatles -the most popular of the 60s rock groups. The Beatles were four young men from Liverpool
15、, England. The Beatles sang songs written mainly by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Their infectious music and witty lyrics made them two of the finest 20th-century songwriters. Early Beatles songs were written in traditional forms. Their lyrics gradually became more subtle and tender, like the song
16、 ”Yesterday”, and sometimes very abstract . They often used modern record-production techniques to invent new musical effects. Under their influences rock and roll became more commonly known as rock music.A number of factors contributed to the quick development of the music industry during the mid-1980s. Music video and compact disc stimulated the demand for popular music. In 1982, Michael Jacksons Thriller album became the biggest-selling record in history, and it established a new way for record companies to make profits by relying on a few big hits instead of many s
