Tianjin 300457 China)Abstract: Comparing with coagulation membrane fikfatton(C-MF) process, the circulating flocculation membrane filtration (CF-NfF丿 process is a combination of arculatmg contact flocculation with membrane filtration. The

5、 differences of membrane foulmg development in the two processes were mvesttgated in thus study. SUVA was used as an evaluation index of hydroplulic/hydrophobic properties for organic matters to assess the effect of process varianon on SUA as well as to find relation benveen SUVA and index of compfe

6、hensi-e membrane fouling The results indicated rliat there exists a good liner relaticnship between SUVA in membrane filtration and membrane fouling The higher SUVA was, the more serious membrane fouling was. In the optimal operation conditions, SUVA m membrane filtratton effluent and coagulation pr

7、ocess supernatant were 1.74 L mg"1 ld"1 and 1.18 L mg'1 for CF-N£F process, the removal of organic natters increased by 17% and 29%, comparing with C-NfF process, indicating that the removal of hydrophobic organic matters and the control of fouling formation on membrane from them
