1、IELTS Writing Sample Answer1.In many countries schools have severe problems with students behaviour.What are the causes?What solutions can you suggest?Poor student behaviour seems to be an increasingly widespread problem and I think that modern lifestyles are probably responsible for this.In many co

2、untries, the birth rate is decreasing so that families are smaller with fewer children. These children are often spoilt, not in terms of love and attention because working parents do not have the time for this, but in more material ways. They are allowed to have whatever they want, regardless of pri

3、ce, and to behave as they please. This means that the children grow up without consideration for others and without any understanding of where their standard of living comes from.When they get to school age they have not learnt any self control or discipline. They have less respect for their teacher

4、s and refuse to obey school rules in the way that their parents did.Teachers continually complain about this problem and measures should be taken to combat the situation. But I think the solution to the problem lies with the families, who need to be more aware of the future consequences of spoiling

5、their children. If they could raise them to be considerate of others and to be social, responsible individuals, the whole community would benefit.Perhaps parenting classes are needed to help them to do this, and high quality nursery school s could be established that would support families more in t

6、erms of raising the next generation. The government should fund this kind of parental support, because this is no longer a problem for individual families, but for society as a whole.2.Some people think that it's better for children to go to boarding schools, while others think that they should

7、go to day schools and stay with their parents.Discuss these arguments and express your own opinion.You should write at least 250 words.You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your argumentswith examples and relevant evidence.There has been much disagreement over children&

As a result, it tends to be children from rich families who attend them may gradually develop a sense of superiority towards those from other families, whil

10、e the latter may feel resentful. We also have to take into account the fact that many families cannot afford to send their children to boarding schools. Again, children attending boarding schools have less time to communicate with their parents, which may eventually create a gap between them, and we

11、aken family ties.On the other hand, people who are in favor of children going to boarding schools point out that a boarding school is an ideal place for cultivating children's independence, which they seldom learn from their parents at home. Children who have the experience of going to boarding

12、schools tend to come up with their own solutions to problems they encounter instead of turning to their parents or other people for help. What is more, these children usually show a more cooperative attitude towards others in ca se of team work than the “l(fā)ittle emperors” in many one child families.

13、Finally, they are generally more used to competing with others and will find it easier to adapt to modern society, which is full of competition when they grow up.Weighing the pros and cons of these arguments, I am inclined to agree with the latter point of view. For one thing, it seems to me that th

14、ere is more to education than merely learning from teachers and textbooks. The experience of living with other children and taking care of themselves can give children valuable lessons about how to behave properly, how to overcome difficulties and, most important of all, how to think rationally. 15、elieve that children sometimes learn more from other children than from adults. For another, many parents are too busy with their work to pay enough attention to their children's growth even if their children go to day schools, not to mention the fact that there are still some parents who are no

Work will help them to enlarge their scope of knowledge and accumulate a certain amount of social experience,

Children will have to be able to handle various unexpected situations in later life. It is beneficial for

Although in the early years of a child's life parents are the principa

25、l educators, that role is soon assumed very largely by the child'steachers. Even elder brothers and sisters, who may give good advice, can never take the place of teachers in molding a child's mind.First and foremost, teachers know best in terms of education. They are professional educators,

26、 and as such they are better equipped with expertise in teaching. It is in schools, too, that children make friends and learn how to act in a socially responsible manner. Teachers know best how to organize, motivate and discipline their students. Furthermore, as children spend most of their time in

27、schools, teachers have more influence on them than their parents do.Parents, on the other hand, are mostly either too busy to spend time with their children, or are ignorant of the right way to educate them. This is not to say that parents can shirk (refuse to take their responsibility for educating

28、 their children. Parenting is an important factor that shapes competency and character formation in children. Failure to take such responsibility constitutes delinquency as parents.Nevertheless, given the professional qualifications of teachers and the time they spend with their students, it is clea

29、r that the overwhelming burden of educating children falls upon the shoulders of teachers.5Computers are widely used in education, and some people think teacher will not play an important role in the classroom. 。To what extent do you agree or disagree?With the present wide use of computers, in the c

30、ourse of teaching, more and more teachers are in favour of using computers as an aid in teaching their students or in appropriating the latest information from the Internet. However, I am not a believer in the argument that computers may in the future take the place of teachers in teaching students.

31、Firstly, the creators of any education program and software need to be teachers or workers in the education system, or programmers who have previously worked in education. Therefore, although students may learn knowledge by computer, the skills and ideas ultimately emanate from/derive from the teach

32、ing staff.Secondly, while the computer may offer a correct answer or explanation to students, the comprehension capability of every student varies from student to student, making it is impossible for the computer to offer an explanation ca tered to a students particular level of understanding. Howev

33、er, the teacher is able to undertake this task, as he or she possesses expertise in teaching. For example, when a teacher discovers that many students cannot understand professional knowledge, he or she may offer explanatory examples. The computer, however, may only analyze a question in terms of a

34、simple right or wrong response.Finally, the teachers are invariably responsible for carrying a dual role. Most teachers act as not only an educator, but also a kind of father or mother-figure in taking care of students in school. The teacher is able to assist parents in solving a childs mental probl

35、ems other than imparting daily knowledge. The computer, which is purely an electronic device, cannot hope to assist in this regard.In summary, the computer may not play a major role in education in comparison to the benefits of a teacher bestows. However, it is critical that teachers improve their o

36、ld teaching modes by using computers at some level of educational teaching.6.Many people believe that women make better parents than men and that this is why they have the greater role in raising children in most societies. Others claim that men are just as good as women at parenting.Write an essay
