1、PAGE PAGE 3Im short and fat Hello! Dear teachers and judges .Good morning, everyone. Its my great pleasure to be here sharing my teaching ideas with you. The topic I will say is the first period of unit 6 in book 4 PEP English .(peoples education)First, let me analyse the teaching materials.This les

2、son contains thress part. The first part is speaking, the second part is reading and writing ,the last part is singing .the main idea of the topic is to learn the new adjective words like big smalllongshort and so on, and use the phrase to describe the animals. This topic is really realated to Ss li

3、fe. Our students likes to communicate with peole,and talk about everthing they see. so this lesson is helpful to raise the learning interests of students and it will also help to improve their spoken English. After this lesson Ss will get a new conception about the things .They can observe the same

4、thing from the different directions.At that lever, Ss will find the beauty in our beautiful life and love it.Students in Grade Four have been studying English for more than thress years, They have learnt some animal words and simple sentences.Our students also keep strong interest in English study.

5、Theyareactiveandcurious,interestedinnewthings.In order to rise and keep the students interest and attention in English study,I choose a lot valuation methords.If a student has a good behavior or answer my question ,I will give him or her a star on their notebook.and if a team win the competion, I wi

6、ll give the team one point.After the class,We will get the team champion and the best student ,then I will give them some stationery like pencil or ruler as prise.In this way ,our students can keep an active behavior and good manners in the English class.According to the new standard curriculum and

7、the syllabus , after studying the teaching material and analyzing the childrens specific condition.I think the teaching aims include three parts:Knowledge aim: Ss can read say and write the words big small long short, remember some phrases,and one sentence pattern.Ability aim : improve their speakin

8、g skill and sing the English song.Emotional aims: Help Ss get a complete conception about everything and arose the love of animals,the respect of people.Teaching key points include the vocabulary and new phrases,such as a thin nurse, a small mouse, a big watermelon ,etc.While the difficult point is

9、to grasp the sentence pattern“It has.”,and use it to describe the appearance of animals.As we know, English language environment is very important for studying. Teacher should help students to learn English language in a good language condition and set up an interesting class atmosphere . So I decid

10、e to choose “Iteractive teaching method” and “Task-based Language Teaching Situational Language Teaching group study method as the main teaching methods . I will arrange a lot of activities: singing, guessing game, drawing game and having a team competition. I would also use teaching aids such as a

11、projector, a tape recorder, mutimedia, cards to make the knowledge more intuitive ,intersting and easier to understand.Now Ill talk about the most important part the teaching procedure. It consists of 6 steps. Warning up, presentation,practice, consolidation, assessment and homework . At the beginni

12、ng, Its the time of warming up.After some free talk with students ,I will make the point , let students tocuh the body part. And then I will play the English song“What pet do you have” for the students, and let the children to sing together. By this way, the students can be interested in it and pay

13、their attention to our class easily and improve their ability of speaking.Next, To present the new lesson.I will show students two apples.one is big, the other is small.It will give students a visualized feeling about the word “big” and “small.Then I will draw a rabbit on blackboard to teach the wor

14、ds “l(fā)ong” and “short”. After students master the new words. I will use picture in PPT or on line to teach students the sentence patten ,It has . After reading following me,I will let students talk with partner, and then I will choose students to make some sentences.I show the card ,and the students

15、say the sentence. Like: It has big eyes,It has small ears. If the students answer is right, I wll prise him give him a star. Therefore ,It is a good chance for students to learn new words and sentences.Then we are arriving in the practice part .I will divide the whole students into 6 group and arran

16、ge some interesting games. The guessing game is the first. I will show students some section of animal card. Like earslegsmouth.Let the children guess which animal it is,and say the feature of this animal. The other game is drawing game.Most of our children like drawing very much. So I design this g

17、ame to practice the words and sentence. I say the feaure of the animal, the children draw it on the blackborad. And other students check it yes or no. From these two games , students will familiar with the words and expression. The game way will let students keep an active and happy mood in English

18、studying.In the consolidation step. I will arrange a competition beteen boys and girl to review the words and phrase that Ss have learned in this lesson. And finish the “Lets check” of this unit .Then we are in the assessment step. Collect the students stars. Put them on the blackboard. Ask each group: How many stars can you get?Then, give the winner the award. At last is the homework. Let students write about their family member or the lovely animal use the words and exp
