6、rcise. While it was a truly unpleasant experience, I survived, and that made my brain think about what other tough challenges I could conquer.They help you find the good. How you think about stress matters enormously in terms of how you process it. Some people view stress as a threat, while ot

At the age of eighteen, he was sent to work in a rural area of Shaanxi and was paraly

12、zed (使癱瘓)in 1972. He died at the age of 59 in 2010. A painful journey ended after 38 years in a wheelchair and with three dialysis (透析) sessions per week for 12 years. However, his passion, talent, determination, and attitude towards life made him never resign himself to fate. He was one of the majo

13、r Chinese writers, regarded by many in his country as a tough guy.When he stayed in Shaanxi, he lived in a poor and distant village for a long time, where he created a short story My Qingpingwan Distant Village. After he returned to Beijing in 1972, he worked for seven years in a factory. In 1985, a

14、 superb short story String of Life was published. It was translated by Annie Curie and was also adapted into a film Life on a String by Chen Kaige in 1991. In 2002, he won the Lao She Literary Award for a collection of essays Written Fragments in Remission of My Illness. In 2006, another novel My Tr

15、avels in Ding Yi came out, which he wrote in three years when he could only work a few hours a day because of illness.Shi Tiesheng never complained about his experiences. Instead, he had a constant thinking on the meaning of life, which is also the heart of the great essay The Ditan Park and I. Dita

16、n Park is located northeast of Beijing. There the author lived nearby and had been touring the park in a wheelchair. Like other writers, he wrote for his mother, who could not fully recognize him before his talent was accepted.Not only did Shi Tiesheng influence modern literature, but also inspired
