2、e passage.And if they can t make sense of the passage completely,some explanation is needed.In Activity 2 the students are encouraged to work with their partners asking and answering questions and at the same time write the key words to retell the passage.Activity 3 is designed like this:the student

3、s are to tick the things they think robots will be able to do in one hundred years from now,which is helpful in developing their imagination.Activity may serve as a discussion within groups or between groups.It is an extension of Activity 3. Teaching Important Points Train the students reading abili

4、ties. Make sure the students make sense of the passage. Teaching Difficult Points Train the students reading abilities. Make the students know more about robots. Encourage the students to involve themselves in class actively. Teaching Methods Individual work and pair work to make every student work

5、in class. Explanation to help the students make better sense of the text. Teaching Aids Multimedia,tape-recorder & a blackboard Three Dimensional Teaching Aims Knowledge and Skills Make the students learn to use all kinds of methods such as skimming,scanning to understand the passage. Make sure the

6、students make sense of the passage. Process and Strategies Motivate the students enthusiasm in taking part in the class. Feelings and Value Through the learning of the passage about robots the students are sure to learn to understand the role robots play,and thus have a scientific opinion towards th

7、e development of the world. Teaching Procedures Step 1 Fast reading T:Please look at the picture.What do you think they are. S1:I guess they are toy dogs. S2:Maybe they are racing toy dogs.They may be programmed to run faster than ordinary dogs. T:I m not so sure about it,but one point is certain:th

8、ese are “robots” designed by human beings for some purposes.This is the very topic of today.First you may read the passage and put these phrases in the correct places. T:Well done.Take down the key words of the answers to the questions and you will get the main idea of the passage.You may use the key words to retell the whole passage. Give the students

Step 3 Discussion T:You did very good jobs.As we all know,once designed,the robots can do many jobs for us.Now work in pairs.Tick the things you think robots will be able to do in one hundred years from no

21、ikely to do/it be likely that sb.do/it be possible that sb.do,但不說 sb.be possible to do;e.g.He is likely to come./It is likely that he will come./It is possible that he will come. 但我們不說 He is possible to come. 比較 possible,likely,probable. 這三個(gè)形容詞的一般含義都是”可能的 ” ; 表示某件事在行為者的才能所及范疇內(nèi);例如某人所能夠做的、所能夠成就的活所能夠籌劃
