7、ALITY/ETHNICITY民族性人民大眾在長(zhǎng)久勞動(dòng)中創(chuàng)造出來(lái),與一個(gè)民族地理環(huán)境、歷史背景、經(jīng)濟(jì)生活、風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣、宗教信仰以及價(jià)值觀念等方面都有不可分割聯(lián)絡(luò)。普通都用較恰當(dāng)比喻,引發(fā)人們聯(lián)想,但這種聯(lián)想是由各民族現(xiàn)實(shí)環(huán)境和生活經(jīng)驗(yàn)決定。如形容事物快速而大量地產(chǎn)生: like mushrooms (英語(yǔ)),雨后春筍(漢語(yǔ))。英國(guó):大海、水相關(guān)習(xí)語(yǔ),如:to spend money like water揮金如土; to rest on ones oars暫時(shí)一歇; over head and ears滅頂之災(zāi); over head and ears in debt負(fù)債累累;狗:英國(guó)愛(ài)狗a luc

RHETORICITY修辭性 習(xí)語(yǔ)經(jīng)常利用音韻友好來(lái)到達(dá)朗朗上口、易懂易記、栩栩如生目標(biāo),許多英語(yǔ)習(xí)語(yǔ)利用頭韻、尾韻、重復(fù)等手法來(lái)增加語(yǔ)言語(yǔ)音美感和修辭效果。如:as busy as a bee(忙如蜜蜂), might and main(竭盡全力), trials and tribulations(煩躁和苦惱)均為頭韻;high and dry(孤立無(wú)援),by hook and by crook(不擇伎倆)均為尾韻;step by step(逐步),n
