2022ClimateCheck:Business’viewsonclimateactionaheadofCOP27October2022ExecutivesummarySinceCOP26inNovember2021,theworldhasbeenupendedbythewarinUkraine,risinginflationandglobaleconomicuncertainty,amongmanyothergeopoliticalcrises.Eachoftheseposesarisktothesustainedactionneededtoaddresstheclimatecrisis.Aheadofthisyear’sCOP27inEgypt,wesoughttobetterunderstandthestateofclimateactionfromtheperspectiveofbusinessleaders.Deloitte’slatestclimatesurveyof700executives,conductedinAugustandSeptember2022,shedsnewlightonexecutives’topconcernssurroundingtheclimatecrisis,theactionstheyaretakingandthosetheywouldliketoseegovernmentstake,andthegapthatmustbeclosedbetweensentimentandactiontoadvanceprogresstowardamoresustainablefuture.
