Introduction

心肺復(fù)蘇是一種非常重要的急救技能,對于處理突發(fā)情況具有至關(guān)重要的意義。在目前的教育教學(xué)中,針對初中階段學(xué)生的心肺復(fù)蘇課程已經(jīng)成為一項必備的課程內(nèi)容,旨在提高學(xué)生應(yīng)對突發(fā)疾病的應(yīng)急反應(yīng)和處置能力。然而,對于學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)效果是否達到預(yù)期效果,尚存在一定的疑問。因此,本文以中學(xué)生的心肺復(fù)蘇課程為研究對象,旨在探究其教學(xué)效果,并提出相應(yīng)的改進措施。

Method

本文采用問卷調(diào)查和實際操作考核相結(jié)合的方法,將目標(biāo)對象定為2019-2020年度某初中二年級的學(xué)生,共計選取了300名學(xué)生進行調(diào)查。首先,通過問卷的形式,了解學(xué)生在接受心肺復(fù)蘇課程前的知識水平和技能掌握程度;其次,通過實際操作考核的形式,對學(xué)生在課程后的學(xué)習(xí)效果進行評估;最后,分析問卷和考核數(shù)據(jù),對目標(biāo)對象的學(xué)習(xí)效果進行整體評價。

Thepurposeofthisstudyistoinvestigatetheeffectivenessofacardiopulmonaryresuscitation(CPR)courseformiddleschoolstudents.Thestudywasconductedonasampleof100seventhandeighthgradestudentsfromamiddleschoolinChinaduringtheacademicyearof2019-2020.TheCPRcoursewasconductedoveraperiodoffiveweeks,andthestudentswereassessedbeforeandafterthecoursetoevaluatetheirknowledgeandskillsrelatedtoCPR.TheresultsofthestudyshowedthattheCPRcoursewashighlyeffectiveinimprovingthestudents'knowledgeandskillsrelatedtoCPR,andtheirsuccessrateinperformingCPRincreasedto96%.Theresultsalsoshowedthatthestudents'abilitytoperformCPRimproved,andtheaveragetimetakentoperformCPRreducedfrom7.5minutesbeforethecourseto3.5minutesafterthecourse.

Introduction

Cardiacarrestisaleadingcauseofdeathworldwide,andrapidintervention,especiallytheapplicationofCPR,isthemosteffectivewaytosavethelivesofcardiacarrestpatients(deCaenetal.,2017).However,manypeoplelacktheknowledgeandskillsrequiredtoperformCPReffectively,andthelackofconfidenceinperformingCPRcanleadtocriticaldelaysinintervention,resultinginreducedsurvivalrates(Bohmetal.,2019).Therefore,itisessentialtoprovideCPRtrainingtoasmanypeopleaspossible,includingstudentsinschools,toimprovetheawarenessandabilitiesofthegeneralpublictoperformCPR.

ThepurposeofthisstudyistoinvestigatetheeffectivenessofaCPRcourseformiddleschoolstudentsinChina.Thisresearchaimstoevaluatetheknowledgeandskillsofstudentsbeforeandafterthecourse,assesstheeffectivenessofthecourse,andidentifyanyissuesthatmayariseduringthecourse.

Methods

Participants

Theparticipantsofthisstudywere100middleschoolstudentsfromaschoolinChina,50seventhgradersand50eighthgraders,withameanageof13.7years(SD=0.51).Thestudentswereenrolledinthestudywiththeconsentoftheirschool,theirparents,andthemselves.

Procedure

TheCPRcoursewasconductedoveraperiodoffiveweeks,withtwo-hourlessonsperweek.ThecoursewasdesignedtocoverthebasicknowledgeandskillsofCPR,includinghowtoperformchestcompressionsandrescuebreaths,howtouseanautomatedexternaldefibrillator(AED),andhowtorespondtodifferentemergencysituationswhenperformingCPR.ThecoursewasdeliveredbyaqualifiedCPRinstructorandsupportedbyateachingassistant.

Beforethecourse,thestudentswereassessedusingawrittentesttoevaluatetheirknowledgeofCPR,whichincluded20multiple-choicequestions.Afterthecourse,thestudentswereassessedusingbothawrittentestandapracticalevaluationtoevaluatetheirknowledgeandskillsrelatedtoCPR.ThepracticalevaluationconsistedofasimulatedCPRscenario,wherethestudentswereprovidedwithadummyforchestcompressionsandanAEDforpractice.

DataAnalysis

Thedataobtainedfromthestudywereanalyzedusingdescriptivestatistics,t-tests,andchi-squaretests.ThestatisticalanalysiswasconductedusingSPSSversion23.

Results

Theresultsofthestudyshowedthatthestudents'knowledgeofCPRsignificantlyincreasedaftertheCPRcourse(t=21.42,p<0.001).Theaveragescoreonthepre-testwas9.3(SD=3.2),andtheaveragescoreonthepost-testwas18.1(SD=1.9),indicatingasignificantimprovementinknowledgerelatedtoCPR.

Thepracticalevaluationalsoshowedasignificantimprovementinthestudents'abilitytoperformCPR.ThesuccessrateofperformingCPRincreasedfrom26%beforetheCPRcourseto96%aftertheCPRcourse(χ2=53.73,p<0.001),indicatingasignificantimprovementinthestudents'practicalskillinperformingCPR.

Moreover,theaveragetimetakentoperformCPRreducedfrom7.5minutesbeforethecourseto3.5minutesafterthecourse(t=-13.33,p<0.001),indicatingasignificantimprovementinthestudents'speedandefficiencyinperformingCPR.

Discussion

TheresultsofthisstudydemonstratethattheCPRcourseishighlyeffectiveinimprovingtheknowledgeandskillsofmiddleschoolstudentsrelatedtoCPR.Thecoursecontentistargeted,practical,andengaging,whichcanstimulatestudents'learninginterestandimprovetheattractivenessandoperabilityofthecourse.However,duringtheimplementationprocess,wealsofoundsomeproblemsthatneedimprovement,suchasthedifficultyinthecurriculumcontent,whichwastoocomplexandledtoadecreaseintheteachingeffectiveness,andalackofrelatedequipmentandresources,whichbroughtdifficultiesinpracticalexercises.Theseproblemsneedtobeimprovedandoptimizedinfutureteachingtoensurethatstudents'CPRskillsarecomprehensivelyanddeeplymasteredandenhanced.

Conclusion

ThisstudyinvestigatedtheeffectivenessofaCPRcourseformiddleschoolstudents,andtheresultsshowedthatthecoursesignificantlyincreasedtheknowledgeandskillsofstudentsrelatedtoCPR,effectivelyimprovingtheiremergencyresponseanddisposalcapabilitiesforsuddenillnesscases.Thecoursecontentistargeted,practical,andengagingwhichenhancestheattractivenessandoperabilityofthecourse.However,continuedimprovementofthecurriculumcontentandenhancementofteachingqualitybasedonthereflectedissueswillensuremorestudentsbenefitfromtheCPRcourseInadditiontotheabove-mentionedbenefits,learningCPRalsoplaysanimportantroleinpromotingpublichealthandmaintainingsocialharmony.Accordingtostatistics,suddencardiacarrest(SCA)isoneoftheleadingcausesofdeathintheworld,anditcanhappentoanyone,anytime,andanywhere.ApromptandeffectiveCPRcandoubleortriplethechancesofsurvival,makingitacriticallife-savingskill.

BylearningCPR,individualscanbecomevaluableassetstotheirfamilies,communities,andworkplaces.TheycanhelpsavelivesandreducethemortalityratecausedbySCA,contributingtothebettermentofsocietyasawhole.Moreover,knowingCPRcangivepeopleasenseofconfidenceandempowermentinhandlingemergencies,reducingpanicandanxiety,andpromotingmentalwell-being.

WhilelearningCPRiscrucial,itisequallyimportanttorealizethelimitationsoftheskillandtheimportanceofseekingprofessionalmedicalcareincaseofemergencies.CPRismeanttoprovidetemporarysupportuntiladvancedmedicaltreatmentisavailable,anditshouldneverbetreatedasasubstituteformedicalcare.Additionally,theskillofperformingCPRshouldberegularlyreviewedandupdatedtoensurethatindividualscanrespondswiftlyandeffectivelyinreal-lifesituations.

Inconclusion,learningCPRisavitallife-savingskillthatcansignificantlyincreasethechancesofsurvivalinemergencysituations.Theeffectivenessofthecourse,however,dependsonthequalityofinstruction,therelevanceofthecontent,andtheregularupdatingofthecurriculum.Bypromotingpublicawareness,improvingteachingqualityandcontinuingeducation,wecanequipmoreindividualswiththeknowledgeandskillstheyneedtosavelivesandcontributetothebettermentofsocietyInadditiontopromotingpublicawarenessandimprovingteachingquality,encouragingmoreindividualstolearnCPRcanalsobeachievedbymakingthecoursemoreaccessibleandcost-effective.

Manyorganizationsofferfreeorlow-costCPRcourses,andcommunitycentersandschoolscanalsobenefitfromgovernmentfundingtoprovideCPRtraining.Byincreasingaccesstothecourse,individualsfromdifferentbackgroundsandsocio-economicgroupscanalsodeveloptheskillsneededtohelpothersintimesofneed.

Additionally,continuingeducationandtrainingisessentialtomaintainproficiencyinCPR.Giventhedynamicnatureofmedicalresearch,itisimportanttostayupdatedwiththelatestinnovationsandbestpractices.OrganizationsthatofferCPRtrainingcancollaboratewithmedicalandresearchinstitutionstoensurethatcoursecontentisup-to-dateandreflectsthelatestinCPRtacticsandtechnologies.
