Weliveinaworldwheresuccessisoftenequatedwithnaturaltalentorluck.WelooktoiconicfiguressuchasSteveJobsorMarkZuckerbergandthinkthattheyweresimplybornwithanexceptionalmindorbornattherighttimetobesuccessful.Butthetruthis,thesesuccessfulpeople,likeallofus,neededtoputinahugeamountofefforttoreachtheirgoals.

Inmyownexperience,IhavefoundthatthemostrewardingmomentsinlifearethosewhereIhaveworkedtirelesslytoachievemyaspirations.Irememberstrugglinginmyfirstyearofuniversity,thinkingthatIwasnotgoodenough,butthroughsheerpersistenceandhardwork,Iwasabletoturnthingsaroundandevenexceedmyownexpectations.Thiswasnotaresultofnaturaltalentorluck,buttheproductofhardworkanddedication.

Weneedtolearntoembracethegrind,towakeupeverydaywithaburningdesiretobetterourselvesandtoovercomeanyobstaclesthatcomeourway.Weneedtounderstandthatsuccessisneverguaranteedbutpersistinginthefaceofsetbacksandfailuresiswhatwillleadustoourdesiredoutcomes.

Itisalsoimportanttorememberthatwemusthavefaithinourselves,andinourownabilities.Doubt,fear,andinsecurityareinevitablecompanionsonthejourneytosuccess,butweneedtopushpastthemandhaveconfidenceinourownpotential.
