Inthelate1930s,whentheJapaneseoccupiedQingdao,hisfamilyhadtoleave.OnhislastdayinQingdao,herantotheAquariumandpulledoutoneoftheteethfromthedragon’smouth.

Hekeptthetoothforthenext65years,butthefeelingofguiltathavingstolenitwasthereinthebackgroundallthroughhislife.Itwasalwaysonhisconscience,andthefeelingintensifiedashebecameolder.Finallyhedecidedtoputrighthischildisherror.In2022,hevisitedQingdaoandreturnedittotheAquariumwithhissincereapologies.Hereceivedawarmwelcome.

Thedishonestpeoplesometimescangetbenefitfromtheirbehaviors.Sosomepeopleassertthatdishonestycanbringpeoplebenefit,whilehonestyonlymakespeoplesuffer.Isthatso?Definitelynot.Itisalwaystruethathonestyisthebestpolicy.Itpaystobehonest.Thecheaterselling“thetreasure”mentionedabovewillsurelybedisclosedandpunishedsomeday.

Alwaysgiveotherscreditthatisrightfullytheirs.Don‘tbeafraidofthosewhomighthaveabetterideaorwhomightevenbesmarterthanyouare.
