從電腦字?jǐn)?shù)統(tǒng)計情況看,文章累計詞數(shù)1680個,題目詞數(shù)720,閱讀理解題總詞數(shù)2400。其閱讀速度為:2400÷35≈69個詞/分(06和07兩年都為72詞/分)。從數(shù)字上看,這個速度高于高考英語科設(shè)定的基本要求65詞/分,低于《教學(xué)大綱》的要求70-80詞/分。但是《教學(xué)大綱》的要求與《高考考試說明》的要求是有質(zhì)的區(qū)別的:中學(xué)生平時的閱讀是在具體目的不甚明確、沒有太大外界壓力的情況下進(jìn)行的,采取的閱讀方法基本為略讀(skimming),也就是迅速閱讀文章,以了解其主旨要義、作者態(tài)度等。而高考中的閱讀活動則并非如此,考生既需要略讀,以獲取一些整體性信息;也需要查讀(scanning),以獲取所需的細(xì)節(jié)性信息。另外,考生還需要一些時間考慮試題的解答。因此,考生在考場中的實(shí)際閱讀速度必須大于69詞/分。
