Astheywanderthroughthemaze-likecorridors,SimonandOliviahearastrangesoundcomingfromthebasement.

Noanswercomesback.Heartinhismouth,Simoncontinuestocreepdownstairs,tryingtofindthesourceofthenoise.

Atthebottomofthestairs,heseesalarge,old-fashionedchest.

Simon:(raisesflashlight)What'sthis?

Hereachesouttotouchthechest...andsuddenly,thelidpopsopen!

Simonfranticallytriestopushthelidofthechestbackdown,butitwon'tbudge.

OliviacomesrunningdownthestairstofindSimonstrugglingtokeepthechestclosed.
