What was Jenny doing while Linda was sleeping?While Linda was sleeping, Jenny was helping Mary with her homework語法:過去進行時。教學(xué)難點:when, while引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句中的過去時和過去進行時學(xué)習(xí)策略:通過文章標(biāo)題和插圖獲取文章的大概意思,學(xué)生如不能流利用以上語法講故事,但一定也要能聽懂別人用英語講故事。教具:多媒體 錄音機課時:1課時Section B 1 (1a-1d)Step1Lead-in reading Ask two students to sing a Jay Chous song and let them make up several sentences use when and while eg:A was singing Jay Chous song when B came in. Finally ask students to read a passage abou Jay ChouStep 2 Presentation 1a Think of a time when you were late for or couldnt go to an event. He wasnt at the school basketball competition yesterday ,he was beating his dog when the competition started . Ask Ss to think of an event and answer these questions What was the event? What was the reason why you were late or couldnt go? Tell your partner the story. Let students read their stories to others.Step3 Listening What happened to the girl? Lets listen. 1b. My parents were completely shocked!completely adv. 徹底地,完全地e.g. I understand completely. 我完全明白。 shocked adj. 驚愕的;受震驚的e.g. She was so shocked that she could hardly say a word. 她大為震驚,幾乎一句話也說不出來。 即學(xué)即練 翻譯下列句子。1) 看到鄰居那樣對待孩子我很驚愕。2) 他對她抽煙感到很震驚。3. My parents did not talk after that, and we finished the rest of our dinner in silence. in silence 沉默,無聲 without speaking or making a sound; silently e.g. Many patients were waiting in silence. 許多病人在靜靜地等候著。 A hundred and fifty reporters sat in silence. 在場的150名記者靜靜地坐在那里。4. I didnt believe him at first. at first “起初,首先”,作為介詞短語,只起副詞作用(在句中用作狀語)。 at first主要用于強調(diào)前后對照,暗示接下去的動作與前面的動作不同甚至相反,因此常有 but, afterwards, soon, at last 等相呼應(yīng)。e.g. At first we used hand tools. 首先我們使用手工工具。 At first I didnt want to go, but soon I changed my mind. 我開始不想去,但我很快就改變了主意。 Step 6 Exercises2e.
