3、 drinking water source areas of Guangzhou city especially the Zengcheng district. People often go there to climb the hill, get in close touch with waterfall as well as enjoy the amazing silence. AND! There are exactly 9999 steps of the hill. Many people would like to challenge themselves to climb to

4、 the top, but I think its too tiring If you go there in the right time (before Chinese Spring Festival I think) and there are very few tourists to visit, you will find it very quiet and peaceful. Historical scenic spots (1) The Chen Clan Academy (陳家祠)Location: on Zhongshan Road Seven in Liwan District (荔灣區(qū)中山七路)The Chen Clan Academy（陳家祠） is an academic temple in Guangzhou, China ,built by the 72 Chen clans for their juniors accommodation an

16、d preparation for the imperial examinations(科舉) in 1894 in Qing Dynasty .Later it was changed to be the Chen Clans Industry College, and then middle school afterward. Now it houses the Guangdong Folk Art Museum(廣東民間工藝博物館). The Chen Clan academy is notable for the rich decorations which exist inside,

17、 outside the halls and in almost every beams, ridges, walls and columns. This make the Chen Clan Academy a large collection of wood carving(木雕), stone carving（石雕） ,brick carving（磚雕）, pottery（陶器）,plaster（石膏） and iron engraving（鐵雕刻）. Second. Places of interests 3. 18、bu Antient Port (黃埔古港)Location: in Huangbu Village in Haizhu District (海珠區(qū)黃埔村，臨近新港東路) Huangpu Village has well-preserved historical buildings with Lingnan style(嶺南風(fēng)格). Tile carving, wood carving, clay sculptures, wok-ear-shaped houses and slate roads can be seen everywhere in the village. According

19、to the 3rd national cultural relics census, the village still retains 14 ancestral temples of the Qing Dynasty, 4 old-style private schools, 1 temple, 2 sites of commercial streets and tens of dwelling houses built during the Qing Dynasty. Huangpu Village still retains rich Lingnan folk culture such
