21、國市場，我們與外商接觸的機(jī)會(huì)隨之增多。西方人是非常注重事前電話預(yù)約的。對(duì)于我們中國人來說，如何正確使用英語電話用語，才能達(dá)到預(yù)期的目的呢？ 很多自以為能用英語進(jìn)行簡單會(huì)話的人，在面對(duì)用英語通電話的場合就會(huì)變得手忙腳亂，不知所措也是常見的事。其實(shí)，用英語打電話有一定的模式及慣用語，筆者簡單歸納如下：當(dāng)你拿起話筒用英語打電話時(shí)，開頭打招呼的第一個(gè)詞便是Hello，Hello，不像中文中的“喂”可以連喊幾聲，掛電話打招呼時(shí)，只要說一次就夠了。也可視情況說 Good morning （afternoon ， evening）。習(xí)慣上，英語國家的人（特別是美國人）打電話一開始就自報(bào)姓名或自己的電話號(hào)碼，

22、甚至是工作單位或住址等等。如： “Hello （ Good morning ，）、This is 2856123 ”（喂，你好，我這兒的電話號(hào)碼是2856123。）或“ This is Margs phone or This is Mary speaking”（我是瑪麗）。有的人在接電話時(shí)只回答Hello，而等待對(duì)方開始說話。但是這樣做法必定地使對(duì)方提出“Is this 7856111？”（這是7856111電話嗎？）或 “Is that Peters phone？”（這是彼得家嗎？）這樣的問題，勢必導(dǎo)致雙方在正式通話前花費(fèi)不少時(shí)間與口舌。因此，不要只說Hello 而已，這一點(diǎn)與我們國內(nèi)雙方通

23、話的情形相差甚遠(yuǎn)。如果你發(fā)現(xiàn)對(duì)方要找的是另一個(gè)，或撥錯(cuò)了號(hào)碼，這時(shí)，你最好能重復(fù)一下你的電話號(hào)碼，然后告訴對(duì)方 “Sorry youve dialed the wrong unmber ”（對(duì)不起，你撥錯(cuò)號(hào)了。）或簡單回答：“Sorry wrong number，”不要一聲不響地就掛斷電話。同樣，若是我們自己撥錯(cuò)了號(hào)碼也該簡單地向?qū)Ψ秸f：“Sorry ，（Ive dialed） wrong number，”再掛斷電話。用中文打電話或接電話時(shí)，可以問：“你是誰？”但用英語通話時(shí)，則千萬不可以問：“Who are you？”問對(duì)方是哪一位時(shí)，可以用以下幾種方式：Whos that / whos s

24、peaking ， please？ 請(qǐng)問你是誰？Whom an I speaking to ？ 跟我通話的是誰？May I have your name ？我可以問你的名字嗎？Is that you ， ？ / Is there， please？某某在嗎？回答對(duì)方問話或自我介紹時(shí)，可用This is Its speaking 。 It is （Mary） here / Hello ， Mary here 。 This is 3132459 等等，不能用“I am ?！比绻麑?duì)方找的正是本人，可用“ Yes ，speaking ”即可。轉(zhuǎn)告某人接電話時(shí)，可用“Youre wanted on the

25、 phone ”或“Someone wants you on the phone（有人打電話找你）。也可說“Theres telephone call for you”（有你的電話）。如果此人就在身邊時(shí)可以說“Its for you ， Tom 。”或“For you Tom”（湯姆，找你的），若來電話時(shí)對(duì)方要找的人正在隔壁房間或在別處辦事，你接了電話以后要過去叫他，請(qǐng)對(duì)方稍等一下時(shí)，可用Hold on （the time）please， Hold on a moment ， please， just a moment， please， Dont hang uplease 等。如果來電話要找的

26、人一時(shí)無法找到，應(yīng)盡快回答對(duì)方，并最后詢問對(duì)方是否愿意留下口信。這時(shí)可用“May I take a message for you？”（我可以給你帶個(gè)口信嗎？）或者“Would you like to leave a message？”（你要留嗎？）反之亦然，若是你打電話給某人，對(duì)方恰巧不在，你也可以要求接電話的人帶個(gè)口信或留個(gè)便條，就說：“Could you take a message for me please ？”然后你可酌情簡單地向接話者說：“Please tell him that I want to speak to him ?！保ㄕ?qǐng)轉(zhuǎn)告他我有事要告訴他），或“Tell him

27、that I called（告訴他我來過電話）也可說：“Will you please tell him to call me back later？”（請(qǐng)你告訴他回個(gè)電話給我，好嗎？）當(dāng)然，打電話也并非盡善盡美，也有其煩人之時(shí)。譬如，你給某人打去電話時(shí)，對(duì)方正忙得很。你最好禮貌地表示一下歉意，可以說：“I am sorry to make a phone call to you when you are very busy ”。（你現(xiàn)在正是很忙的時(shí)候，我卻打電話給你，很對(duì)不起）。如果你有十分緊急的事需打電話給某人，又是清晨或半夜了，可以說：“I am sorry to have called

28、 you so early ，but“（這么早打電話給你，對(duì)不起，但是）。Sorry to have waked you wp （對(duì)不起，把你吵醒了）。“I am sorry to have called you at such a late time but ”（這么晚打電話給你，真對(duì)不起，但是）如果在打電話或接聽電話時(shí)，中途為了某事而不得不暫時(shí)中斷與對(duì)方的通話，需請(qǐng)對(duì)方等候一下時(shí)，可以說：“Excuse me 或 Excuse me for a moment”（對(duì)不起，請(qǐng)稍等一下），再次拿起話筒時(shí)，自然要向?qū)Ψ降狼?，?yīng)該說：“I am sorry to have kept you waiting so long ”（很抱歉讓您久等了）。熟人之間也可以直接說：“Are you still there ”？（你還聽著嗎？）。結(jié)束通話時(shí)，可以說：“Call me at any time”（隨時(shí)打電話來），“Please say hello to everyone ”（請(qǐng)代我向大家問好），“Nice talking to you ”（很高興與你通話）等等。電
