In 2013, China became the largest market for red wine in the world, even overtaking France, with l.86 bill

22、ion bottles consumed in China last year. Over the past five years, China s red wine consumption has grown 136 percent. According to my ongoing consumer research in this area while working at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, public consumption of such expensive globa

23、l luxury brands such as Prada and Armani is easily explained by the desire to “ gain face display social climbing through material possessions. On the other hand, it is -reward ” that lies “ self behind consumer motivation in this area. Chinese consumers who have experienced rapid financial and econ

24、omic gains appear particularly prone to the need to reward themselves for their success. But this has little to do with ” gaining face ” and impressing others and much more to do with the need for personal contentment. Finally, the growth in private luxury consumption in China is set to continue in

Among the alum ni surveyed, 75 perce nt of alum ni rated the tee n program experie nee as the most favorable in flue nee on their own lives,

32、 beat ing family, school and their n eighborhoods. Nearly 55 perce nt thought that it was one of the most importa nt experie nces they ed/er had, regardless of age. And two -thirds said that they were often in situations where their experie nee in museums affected their actions or thoughts. It turns

33、 out that participating in art programs also helps keep teens enthusiastic about arts even after they reach adulthood: 96 percent of participants had visited an art museum within the last two years, and 68 percent had visited an art museum five or more times within the last two years. Though the study is the first of its kind to explore the influence of teen -specific art programs in museums, it reflects other research on the important benefits of engaging with the arts. A decade of surveys by the National Endowment for the Arts
