Further strengthening its commitment, in 2010 * decided to measure the full impact of its emissions throu

3、gh an innovative carbon footprint measurement tool.As aggregates, cement, and concrete are key materials to the development of society, we considered it essential to make an effort to measure the carbon footprint of each of these three products. The result of this analysis will allow us to prioritiz

Perform a benchmark of

6、facilities within the company with the goal of continually reducing our CO2 footprint. Communicate to our stakeholders quantitative data on the carbon footprint of our products. This footprint will also allow our customers to obtain the footprint of * products to be used on their specific projects.

8、process up to the door of * plants (“cradle to gate“approach); i.e. taking into account all phases of production from the extraction of raw materials from natural resources (“cradle”) and their transporting, processing and packaging (if necessary) until the moment the product leaves the premises of

9、* (“gate”).WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KNOW IT?Knowing the carbon footprint of our products reveal the extent to which we are contributing to climate change and is the first step in reducing our emissions of CO2 to the atmosphere. As an additional benefit, it allows us to inform our customers about

10、the greenhouse gases environmental impact of the products they use, and helps them calculate the carbon footprint of their projects. This knowledge is becoming increasingly important in todays carbon-conscious society.什么是碳足跡?碳足跡測量的是*各工廠直到出廠門(從“搖籃”到“大門”方法)的整個生產(chǎn)過程中所直接或間接產(chǎn)生的二氧化碳及其等價排放氣體的數(shù)量,也就是說,充分考慮生產(chǎn)中

12、ducts “Life Cycle Assessment” and the PAS 2050:2008 standard “Specification for the Assessment of the Life Cycle Greenhouse Gas Emissions of Goods and Services” as well as in “draft” versions of the ISO 14067 “Carbon Footprint of products” and WBCSD / GHG protocol “Product Life Cycle Accounting and

13、Reporting Standard.”The methodology has been tested in 9 * plants across several continents by the certification company Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The tool has been implemented in 629 centers of production of cement, aggregates and concrete in the world, corresponding to 58% of total production for

The implementation plan considers 100% coverage in the short term.*如何計算其碳足跡?*碳足跡計量方法符合國際認證協(xié)議ISO14040:2006生命周期評估,PAS2050:2008對產(chǎn)品與服務(wù)的生命周期內(nèi)溫室氣體排放的評估的規(guī)定,ISO14067二氧化碳足跡產(chǎn)品,以及由世界持續(xù)發(fā)展商業(yè)理事會與世界資源研究所共同發(fā)起的溫室氣體議定書(WBCSD / WRI GHG)關(guān)于“產(chǎn)品生命周期計算與報告標準”等產(chǎn)品標準的相關(guān)規(guī)定。該方法已經(jīng)由國際知名環(huán)境認證權(quán)威機構(gòu)挪威船級社(DNV)在*全球9個工廠分別進行了測試。該方法已經(jīng)推廣到
