3、edhasresultedinthedevelopmentofahybridversionoftheIEC61076-4-1012mmconnector.Inordertoprovidealignmentduringmatingforthenormallyunguidedconnector,theextendedguidancefeaturesoftheTypeAconnectorbodyhavebeenmodifiedandincorporatedintotheTypeBconnectorhousing.TheresultingconfigurationprovidesTypeAalignm

4、entandguidancewithnolossofsignalcontactcount,however,thereisnocodingfeatureasistypicalwiththeTypeAhousings.eintoader.Thesecondcomponentisaeintoader.ThesecondcomponentisafreeboardconnectordesignedtomatewiththeTypeABshroud/pincombination.Thethirdisapre-assembledfixedboardconnector(pinheader).TheTypeAB

5、extendedguidancefeatureissimilartothatfoundontheTypeAversionoftheIEC61076-4-101connectors.Itisdesignedtoprovideprematingguidanceandalignmentforreartransitionmodules,especiallythosewhichhaveonlytheTypeBconnectors.Thefeaturecanalsobesuccessfullyusedtoprovideguidanceforreartransitionmoduleswhichhaveadd

6、itionalconnectors,eventhosewhichhaveTypeAguidance/keyingmodules.ConnectornamingTheproposednamingconventionforthenewconnectorwillbeTypeAB.ThisisacombinationoftheTypeAandBnamingconventionsutilizedandalreadydefinedintheIEC61076-4-101specification.Thenew“family”ofconnectorswillhavethreecomponents,exclud

7、ingvariationsonshields,numberofrows,pinlengths,etc.Theseare:TypeABshroud(19,22and25x7positions)TypeABpinheader(19,22and25x7positions)TypeABrightanglereceptacle(freeboard)connector(19,22and25X7positions)RecommendedMethodofMountingTheTypeABconnectorcomponentsaremountedinthesamemannerasotherIEC61076-4-
