2、astriedtotrackthechanginginterestsofitsstudentsandtheincreasinglyglobalnatureofitscurriculumbysettingupprogramsincountriesthatdidnotattractasmuchinterestagenerationago”(Rooney2).Adecadeago,theonlydestinationsofstudyingabroadwereinWesternEurope,buttherearemanyplacesforstudentstostudyabroadalloverthew

3、orldnow(Rooney2).Whystudentswanttostudyabroad?Forthereason,theycanexperiencemanyamazingthings.Studyingabroadisnotonlytoparticipateinclassesatuniversitybutalsotostayindifferentculturesandlanguages.Toknowotherculturesisinteresting,becausebadmannersinacountryaresometimesnormalthingsintheother.Ifyoucans

4、peakmorelanguages,wecantalktomanypeople.Nowadays,itisveryimportanttocommunicatewithpeoplewhoarefromothercountriesbecauseofbusinessesandtounderstandothercultures.Thisexperiencewillpositivelyaffectonesfuture.Furthermore,waysofthinkingandknowledgewillbewideandflexible.Therefore,studyingabroadhasmanyben

5、efits.However,moststudentswhodesiretostudyabroadtendtothinkthattheycanexperienceonlygoodthings.Thisthinkingrelatetopamphletsbecausetheyonlysaygoodthings.Astudyingabroadpamphletsays,“Learnalanguage,broadenyourperspective,exploreyouridentity,challengeyourself,increaseyourself-confidenceanddecisionmaki

6、ngskills,re-evaluateyourpriorities,valuesorgoals,anddiscoveraneworfamilyculturalheritage”.Ifstudentsreadthis,theywilldefinitelyfeellikestudyingabroad,buttheyhavetoknowoppositeside.Besides,themostimportantthingtorememberiswhytheygooverseas.Thepurposeofstudyingabroadis,ofcourse,tostudy.Someforeignstud

7、entsdiebecauseofaccidentsorcommittingsuicide.Internationalstudentsexperiencenotonlygoodthingsbutalsomanybadsituations.However,badthingsarerarelyshowedinpublic.Actually,aJapanesestudentwaskilledinAustralialastyear,butwedidnothearanyinformationafterafewdaysofthefirstnews.Studentscommitsuiciderathertha

8、ndiebyaccidents.Wemeetwithbadexperiencesbecauseofthegapofculturesandlanguages,orwejustdonotsuitthecountry.Wecannotpredictuntilwegotothecountryandstay.Inaddition,thesebadexperiencesaffectourstudy.Moreover,theworsesituationsare,themorewefeelhomesick.Consequently,everythingmakesusfrustrated.Peoplewhowa

9、nttostudyabroadhavetoknowbothgoodandbadsides.Therearemainlythreeadvantagesofstudyingabroad,whicharetobeabletolearnforeignlanguage,experiencefunthings,andstudymuchharderthandoingintheirowncountries.Ontheotherhand,threedisadvantagesarepredicamentsofcommunicatingwithpeople,gettingusedtoadifferentcultur

33、rities.Inthecaseoflanguage,ifstudentstryspeakingalanguagetopeoplewhoarethenativespeakers,theywillimprovetheirlanguageskills.However,iftheysticktoonlysameethnicgroup,ofcourse,tostudyabroaddoesnotmeananything.Itdependsonpersonswillwhetherstudyingabroadbecometheirbenefitsornot.Asthesameaslanguage,whatt
