Tomakemoney,companiesmanufactureandsellproductsthatcompeteinthemarketplace.Toincreasetheirsalesorprofit,companiesdevelopmarketingstrategyisdeterminedbytheparticularwaycompaniescombineandusevariousmarketingelements.ThismarketingmixincludesavarietyofoptionsknownasthefourPsandgenerallycategorizedundertheheadingsofproduct,price,placeandpromotion.Advertisingfallsinthepromotioncategoryanditspartofthepromotionalmixalongwithpersonnelselling,salespromotion,andpublicrelations----allofwhichareusedorwinacceptanceofthecompany’sproducts,services,orideas.
