Intheeasilychangingsociety,parentsoftenexpecttheirchildrentodobetterthantheydid:tofindbetterjobs,tomakemoremoney;andtodoallthethingsthattheywereunabletodo.Often,however,thestrongdesirethatparentshavefortheirchildrenareanothercauseofthedisagreementbetweenthem.Often,theydiscoverthattheyhaveverylittleincomMonwitheachother.Finally,thespeedatwhichchangestakeplaceinmodernsocietyisanothercauseofthegapbetweenthegenerations.Inatraditionalculture,elderly

peoplearevaluedfortheirwisdom,butinmodernsociety,theknowledgeofalifetimemaybecomeoutofdateovernight.Theyoungandtheoldseemtoliveintwoverydifferentworlds,separatedbydifferentskillsandabilities.

每一代人都有他們不同的生活習(xí)慣,每一代人都有不同的思維方式,于是“代溝”就悄然形成了。它如同一座大山一樣,把不同時(shí)代的人截然分開(kāi),使他們不能彼此理解。
