本單元以“地域文化”為主題,旨在通過單元教學,使學生了解有關美國地理

方面的知識;學習加利福尼亞州的簡介,使學生對美國的文明史略見一斑;通過

閱讀名人傳記,研究美國的民族文化,使學生對美國有全方位的認識,掌握有關

美國的歷史、地理、文化、民族等方面的詞匯;學會運用名詞性從句等語法知識,

并通過相關練習,提高學生的語言運用能力;通過閱讀一篇圖文并茂的美國游記,

學會書寫電子郵件或明信片,介紹某一名勝古跡和人文景觀;通過學習、探究我

國少數(shù)民族地區(qū)的多種文化,以及撰寫我國某一城市、省份或地區(qū)的簡介,加深

對祖國地域文化的了解,提高寫作能力。

本單元旨在通過對世界各地的名勝古跡、風土人情的研究與學習,豐富學生的世

界地域文化知識,開擴視野,培養(yǎng)他們熱愛祖國、熱愛大自然、保護名勝古跡、

造福人類的高尚情操。
