Unit4EverydayEconomicsUsinglanguage(2019)isapartoftheseniorhighschoolEnglishtextbook.Itmainlyintroduceshowtouselanguagetounderstandanddiscusseconomicissues.Theunitconsistsoffiveparts:Reading,Vocabulary,Grammar,IntegratedSkillsandTask,andcoversawealthofeconomictopics,suchasshopping,budgeting,investmentandsoon.

Teachingobjectives:

1.Understandandskillfullyuseeconomyrelatedvocabularyandexpressions;

2.Mastertheoverallstructureofthearticleandimprovereadingprehension;

3.Cultivatestudents'abilitytoanalyzeandsolveeconomicproblems;

4.Developstudents'abilitytouselanguageforeconomicdiscussionanddebate.

Teachingfocus:

1.Studyofeconomyrelatedvocabularyandexpressions;

2.Readingprehensionskills;

3.Trainingofabilitytoanalyzeandsolveeconomicproblems;

Analysisoflearningsituation:

ThestudentisasophomoreinseniorhighschoolandhasacertainEnglishfoundation,buthehasrelativelylittleknowledgeintheeconomicfieldandisrelativelyunfamiliarwitheconomicvocabularyandexpressions.Students'abilitytounderstandandanalyzeeconomicissuesalsoneedstobefurthercultivatedandimproved.Therefore,intheteachingprocess,itisnecessarytobinestudents'actuallifeexperienceandthecurrenteconomicsituation,aswellasstimulatestudents'learninginterestandinitiativethroughavarietyofteachingmethods.

2.Cooperativelearningmethod:Organizestudentstoconductgroupactivities,discussandsolveeconomicproblems,andcultivatestudents'cooperationawarenessandproblemsolvingability.

3.Inquirylearningmethod:Itistaskoriented,guidingstudentstomakereadingprehensionandreasoningjudgmentaccordingtogivenarticlesandquestions,andcultivatingstudents'independentlearningandthinkingability.

4.Situationalteachingmethod:Throughthecreationofsituations,arousestudents'interestandstimulatelearningmotivation.
