Tobefollowed,theinadequacyofenoughleisuretimewillcontributestudentstohavenochancestoengageinwhattheyinterestedin.Highschoolstudentsarestillinvolvedinanageduringwhichtheyshouldexploittheirownintereststodecidewhichareatheywillchoosewhengoingtocollegeintheirnearfuture.However,likeImentionedinthepreviousstatement,tomeettherequirementssetbyschool;studentshavenooptionbuttoimmersethemselvesinanumberofassignmentsandthefreedomtopursuetheirownhobbieshasbeendeprived.ItisknowntoallthatinterestplaysaleadingroleinassistingpeopletochoosetheirfuturecareerandarecentreleasedstatisticinasurveyconductedbyBeijingHumanResourceGeneralBureauindicatesthatapproximately67percentofcollegeundergraduatesswitchtheirprofessionsfromtheirmajor-relatedareastowhattheyaretrulyinterestedintheirthirdyearaftergraduation.Inaddition,manyoftherespondentsclaimthattheyarenotsatisfiedwiththecurrenteducationalsystem,requiringstudentstostudyawiderangeofcurriculums,becauseitentirelydownplaystheimportanceofcultivatingstudents’hobbiesandtheybelievethattheearlierstudentscandiscovertheirinterest,themoresetbackstheycanavoidwhenchoosingfuturemajorsintheuniversityandupcomingprofessorsaftergraduation.AfriendIknownamedAndyrefusedtobecomeamechanicalengineersincehewasboredtostayintheofficebuildingandfinallychosetobecomeateacherinaeducationalinstitutesincehecanapplyhispassionandextrovertpersonalityintotheprofession.Accordingly,studentshouldbegivenmoreopportunitiestodeveloptheirownhobbiestoexplorewhattheylove.

(2)了解北美地區(qū)的自然地理特征并理解北美地形對其氣候的影響。

2、過程與方法:

(1)通過查圖,培養(yǎng)學生的讀圖能力。

(2)通過剖析北美地形對其氣候的影響,培養(yǎng)學生的自主探究能力。

3、情感態(tài)度與價值觀:

(1)激發(fā)學生探究地理問題的興趣,養(yǎng)成求真求實的科學態(tài)度,形成正確的地理觀。

教學重點:北美地形分布對氣候的影響

教學難點:北美地形分布對氣候的影響。

學生情況分析,學習任務分析:

學生在前面的學習中已經(jīng)知道了如何認識一個國家或地區(qū),對圖片和數(shù)據(jù)資料的分析和歸納有了一定的認識。但分析北美地形的形成及其對氣候的影響有一定的難度,這種因果聯(lián)系的教學比空間分布的教學難度更大,需要更強的邏輯思維能力和判斷能力,而平行班的學生缺乏的就是這種能力。因此將“北美地形的形成及其對氣候的影響”確定為本節(jié)教學難點。

[導入]美國被世界熟悉,不僅因為它是經(jīng)濟強國,同時也是世界軍事強國,到處充當著世界警察的角色。那么,美國在哪里?它的自然地理環(huán)境具有什么特征,今天開始我們就來學習:北美地區(qū)和美國。

一、北美的位置和范圍

地理位置特征的描述:海陸位置;經(jīng)緯度位置;半球位置

二、自然地理特征(從地形、氣候、水文三方面了解)

1、地形

[歸納]通過剖面圖歸納:

地形特點:東西高,中部低;以山地、平原為主

北美地形南北縱列,分為三個地形區(qū):西部高山區(qū)、中部平原區(qū)、東部高原山地區(qū);地勢中間低,東西兩側高;冰川地形廣布。

(1)西部高山區(qū)—高大褶皺山系,山脈與盆地、高原相間

成因:美洲板塊和太平洋板塊相互碰撞、擠壓,在北美大陸西側形成一系列高大的平行山脈,它們構成了美洲科迪勒拉山系的北段。

特點:①以落基山脈為主,幾條平行并列的南北走向的山脈組成,山脈之間分布有寬廣的盆地和高原。②地殼不穩(wěn)定,多火山、地震(由于位于板塊交界地帶,是環(huán)太平洋火山、地震帶的一部分)。③這些山脈隆起的年代較晚(中生代),許多山峰海拔在4000米以上。

(2)中部平原區(qū)—平原廣闊縱貫,冰川湖泊眾多

中部平原北起北冰洋沿岸,南抵墨西哥灣沿岸。面積寬廣,地形平坦,叫做中央大平原。平原西部是地勢較低的大平原;平原北部湖泊眾多,多為第四紀冰川活動的產物;南部是密西西比河沖積平原。

(3)東部高原山地區(qū)—古老的高原山地

在加拿大境內有拉布拉多高原,在美國境內有阿巴拉契亞山脈,東部的高原、山地形成年代早,久經(jīng)侵蝕,海拔較低,海拔多在1000米以下。

3、氣候

[歸納]溫帶大陸性氣候為主

(1)主要特點:北美大部分地區(qū)位于北回歸線以北,溫帶大陸性氣候面積廣大。冬冷夏熱,氣溫年較差大。夏季降水稍多,適宜農牧業(yè)的發(fā)展。

(2)主要類型及分布:本區(qū)除溫帶大陸性氣候外,在北冰洋沿岸有寒冷的極地氣候。在太平洋沿岸有溫帶海洋性氣候和地中海氣候,受地形的影響,呈帶狀南北延伸,僅分布在沿海地帶。墨西哥灣北部是亞熱帶季風性濕潤氣候,西部還有小面積的高山氣候和熱帶沙漠氣候。

地形對氣候的影響:

北美氣候受地形影響明顯,主要表現(xiàn)在氣溫和降水兩方面。

(1)對降水的影響:①北美西部高大山脈南北縱列,來自太平洋的濕潤氣流受高山阻擋,在西側形成地形雨,使太平洋沿岸為多雨的濕潤區(qū)(溫帶海洋性氣候、地中海氣候);②山脈東側水汽主要來自大西洋,東部低緩的山地對大西洋水汽的阻擋作用不明顯,降水由東部沿海(亞熱帶季風性濕潤氣候和溫帶落葉闊葉林氣候)向內陸逐漸減少(溫帶草原氣候、亞熱帶草原和沙漠氣候);落基山與海岸山脈之間的高原、盆地,因地形閉塞,降水較少,成為半干旱區(qū)(溫帶沙漠氣候)。體現(xiàn)了自然帶的從沿海向內陸地域分異(經(jīng)度地帶性)規(guī)律。

(2)對氣溫的影響:中央大平原貫通南北,冬季極地冷氣流可以從北冰洋上空長驅直達墨西哥灣沿岸,導致沿途氣溫急速下降。所以墨西哥灣沿岸仍可受到寒潮的影響。夏季,墨西哥灣的暖濕氣流也可以自由北上,使中部和東部普遍暖熱。冬季氣溫普遍偏低,夏季普遍暖熱,使北美地區(qū)溫差較大,大陸性特征明顯。
