2、. TI s MSP430F123 is used as a main cont roller. By using the ZigBee modules (Xbee/ Xbee-PRO) and the GSM module (SIM300C) for wireless communications , the lighting control is enabled to access wireless network. This system uses a mobile phone to achieve light on-off directly , which can accomplish

4、nications , wireless control , wireless location ,wireless network and mobile connections have run into our life. Because of the rapid development of IT industry , the popularity of networks , intelligent home appliances and the powerful functions of a singlechip microcomputer , we can enjoy these g

5、reat changes. Increasing coverage of t he relevant information is sufficient to ensure these new things to have a strong vitality and great prospects.So far , the intelligent lighting does not have a specific definition. Usually it refers to t he technology that uses advanced computer , network comm

6、unication , or integrated wiring technology. It can be combined with life and home lighting systems , making simply life more comfortable , warmer , and more protective to environment . Simple understanding of the intelligent lighting is to make t he lighting informative and intelligent . Intelligen

7、t lighting simply includes two aspects : remote control of household electricity supply and lighting indoor scenes. Therefore , intelligent lighting control system will be the focus of t he future research.2 Excellence of Intell igent LightingThe effect s of intelligent lighting cont rol system are

8、as follows :(1) The achievement of the humanized lighting. Due to t he different lighting quality requirements in different areas , we need to adjust the cont rol of illumination in order to achieve t he control program such as t he scene control , timing control , multi2point control and so on. The

9、 program is flexible in mend and change is propitious to ensure t he quality of lighting1 .(2) Raising t he level of management . To ensure t he quality of lighting , it is necessary to use high quality management system and to transform the traditional lighting switch which controlsthe on off into

10、the intelligent management .(3) Energy conservation. The smart sensor is used to adjust t he bright ness of outdoor lighting automatically , which maintains a constant indoor illumination. It will not only bring the best lighting indoor environment , but al so realize t he energy saving effect . Acc

11、ording to t he work of t he regions ,illumination settings is operated and the system automatically on or off on time , enabling the system to conserve energy effectively2 .(4) Exte nding t he service life of lamp s. As we all know , t he life of light ing depe nds on t he grid voltage. As a result

12、of t he higher grid over-voltage , t he life of lamp s will be reduced greatly , while on the ot her case t hat will be multiplied. Therefore , preve nti ng over2voltage and reducing t he operating voltage is an effective way to extend t he life of lamps3 .(5) Protective environment. The use of inte

14、 n in Fig11. The in door wireless n etwork uses Zigbee n etwork and the outdoor wireless n etwork uses GSM n etwork. The in door cont rol module uses Tips MSP430F123 processor , which has the adva ntages of low power con sumpti on , fast inst ruction execution time , etc.MSP430F123 sin gle2chip micr

15、ocomp uter which uses t he two serial port s (one of which is simulative) is linked up to SIM300C module and XBEE modules. It set s J TA G debugging port , RS232 port . RS232 port is opti onal , which is set up to facilitate debuggi ng. We can see t he sit uatio n of the com muni cati on data in the

16、 port UART through t he serial debuggi ng. 17、 in dust rialapplications such as mobile datacommunication system. There is a charging port in it , which is very suitable for bat tery application. It s physical port for mobile applications is connected to pin 60. The module al so contains six port s : UARTport , audio port , SIM card port , anten

18、na port , charging port , LCD port and so on. It has five operating modes : normal operating mode , power2down mode , minimum power consumption mode , alarm mode ,and GHOST mode.Normal operating mode includes the sleep mode , call mode , idle mode and data transfer mode. In normal operating mode , i

19、f t he DTR pin is set to high and there is no call , no interruption of any hardware , such as GPIO interrupt or UART interrupt , t hen , SIM300C will automatically enter sleep mode. In sleep mode , t he current will be reduced to 2. 5 mA and t he lowest power consumption happen. But in t his mode i

20、t can still accept t he short packet of information and inst ruction.We design t he power indicator light , t he search network , t he single2chip microcomp uter , and t he SIM card port in this system. When t he system searches network , the indicator light flashes rapidly , which would slow blink

21、af ter the system is on t he network.4. 3XBee/ XBee 2PRO Module DesignXbee/ Xbee2PRO modules are ZigBee modules produced by t he MaxSt ream Corporation , which are inline wit h t he specification IEEE802. 15. 4. It provides a wireless sensor networking solution wit h lowcost , low-power . Only very

22、small power consumption on t he various devices can provide reliable data transmission.ZigBee is based on IEEE802. 15. 4 , which is a standard known as IEEE802. 15. 4 (ZigBee) technology which is developed by t he IEEE Wireless Personal Area Network Working Group . ZigBee2compliant product s work in

23、hte PH Y on IEEE802. 15. 4. It has three free open-bands , for t he 2. 4 GHz ( Global) ,915 MHz (U. S. ) and 868 MHz ( Europe) , respectively. The uses of ZigBee technology in the 2. 4 GHz provide 250 kb/ s (16 channel s) , in t he 915 MHz provide 40 kb/ s ( 10 channel s) and in t he 868 MHz provide

24、 20 kb/ s (1 channel) transmission rate. It s transmission range generally around 30 m6 depends on t he outp ut power and channel environment .Xbee s the transmission distance , indoors or in t he villages , can reach 100 m. While outdoors , Xbee has 300-meter-long straight-line transmission distanc

25、e and the transmission power is 1 mW (0 dbm) .Xbee-PROs t he transmission distance , indoor s or in the villages , is 300 m , while outdoor Xbee-PROs the transmission straight-line distance is up to 1 mile (1 500 meters) and t he transmit power is 100 mW(20 dbm) . The systemps t ransmission rate is

26、250 kbps , supporting t he f unctions : research , response mechanisms , taking DSSS modulation , each network support s up to 65 000 , addressing a destination address. Module power supply range is 2.8 V 3. 4 V.5 Sof tware Design5. 1 SIM300C InitializationSIM300C initialization includes SIM300C pow

27、er initialization , set ting the serial baud rate , network registration , setting up SMS center number , set ting t he format to send and receive text messages ,setting up terminal encoding character and so on.SIM300C requires high voltage that can not be less than 3. 4 V and t he provision of curr

28、ent must achieve more than 2 A. SIM300C achieves power initialization through PWRKEYpin. By setting the Pin PWRKEY a high voltage , we can complete power initialization such as power on-off or restart in SIM300C. In order to ensure the power in SIM300C , software is designed to be the method that SI

29、M300C take off at first and t hen t he power is on. SIM300C s power commands can also achieve restart through the resumption of some commands.SIM300C UART 1 support s t he baud rate 1200 , 2 400 , 4800 , 9600 , 19200 , 38400 , 57600 , 115200bps , default value is 115 200 bps. The single-chip microco

30、mp uterps baud rate is 9 600. So we need to set up SIM300C.Message center number is based on SIM card s address and identified by t he SIM card rat her than the current location of SIM. SMS center of each province or citiy has different number s. Incorrect settings will result in t he failure of mes

31、sage transmission.5. 2XBee/ XBee 2PRO InitializationTo make two XBee/ XBee2PRO modules be able to communicate with each other , we must set the following parameters.CH : Channel , zigbee data t ransmission channel ;ID : PAN indentity , Personal Area Network logo ;DH : Destination Address High ;DL :

32、Destination Address Low ;MY: 162bit Source Address , 16 bit source address.CH and ID parameter s must be consistent in order to communicate with each other . By setting a different ID , it prevent s interference wit h other ZigBee networks. Module has two kinds of ways : 16-bit short address and 642

33、bit long address. If MY 0xfffe , t he module is 162bit short address. Otherwise it is 642bit long address. Short addressps DH is set to 0 and DL must be consistent to MY parameter in order to make communications. Long Address s DH , DL must be consistent to SH , and SL parameters is to make communic

34、ations. XBee/ XBee2PRO initialization parameter s must be set above. PWM light control receives data and t hen processes through XBEE/ XBee2PRO module. Then it outputs the corresponding lighting control information f rom the Port PWM1.Here is a set of channel 2. 4 GHz , as a result of t he uniquenes

35、s of t he long address setting. So we just set up in accordance with the requirement s of several short addresses PWM modes.6 ConclusionWe combine Zigebe module and GSM module in lighting control module , giving new meaning to intelligent lighting control .
