Its my great honor to share my lesson plan to you.(教材分析)The teaching material is from Foreign Language teaching and research Grade 8 Book2. The Topic of this unit is about personal experiences. And the t

2、itle of Unit 2 is They have seen the pyramids. The passage mainly talks about a familys experiences in some other countries, focusing the Robinsons experiences in Egypt. (學情分析)As we know, students are form Grade 8 in a junior middle school. They have learned English for several years and have master

3、ed some basic English vocabularies. In addition, they have developed some reading skills, such as skimming and scanning in Grade 7. Whats more, students are always interested in group work, so they are easily activated through group work, namely, discussion or group competition. In addition, student

4、s in middle school are interested in group work. So they will be easily activated by group work,such as discussion or group competition. However, there may be some difficult words and expression in the passage, which may prevent the students from understanding the passage well.(教學理學和教學方法)About my te

5、aching ideology. Well, the current theory views reading as an interactive process which involves not only the printed page but also the reader's general knowledge of the world and of the language. So I will follow the interactive principles and mainly adopt the three-stage model including pre-re

6、ading, while-reading and post-reading. Moreover, multimedia devices and PPT documents is used as my teaching aids. (教學目標)Based on the analysis of the teaching material, the learning condition, and my teaching ideology, I set the following learning objectives:First, language skills. At the beginning

7、of this class, students will be able to predict the content according to the title and the pictures. And also they can develop their sub-skills of skimming and scanning. Second, language knowledge. During learning, students will be able to pronounce and identify the useful words and expressions such

8、 as Germany, France, Egypt, tower, ancient king and queen etc. Third, learning strategy . Students will learn autonomously and cooperatively in different activities and communicate actively with their partners in discussion. Last, affect and cultural awareness. Students can be brave to share their p

9、ast experiences(ideas) with their partners.(重點、難點分析)Among these learning objectives, it is considered as the language focus that students can obtain the general idea and get some specific information of the passage by skimming and scanning and use the words and expressions learned in this unit to re

10、tell the passage. While the difficult point would be discussing their own experiences.(教學步驟)In order to achieve the objectives above,various activities are designed in my teaching procedures. As to my teaching procedure, there are three stages. They are pre-reading, while-reading and post-reading.In

11、 pre-reading stage, there are two activities within 5 minutes. Activity 1 is group competition. Students will be divided into 4 groups. There are some pictures and questions about some background information of Egypt. Then, let the groups compete with each other to get the points. Notes: Audio-visua

12、l method is adopted here to attract Ss' attention and interest. The classroom atmosphere can also be activated by guessing , and the vocabulary presented here not only encourages and motivates students to talk, but also offer a chance for students to familiarize with the new words. Activity 2 is

13、 predicting. Students are asked to predict the content of the passage by looking at the pictures and the title of the passage. Notes: The activity can develop students predicting ability. Moreover, their curiosity will be aroused and they will be more concentrated to check their predictions while re

14、ading the passage. In while-reading stage, I designed four activities which will spend 26 minutes. Firstly, students skim the whole passage to get the general idea of the passage. And divided the passage into 3 parts, which is designed to low down the difficulty for the students. Notes: this activit

15、y is to help the students get the general idea of the passage.Secondly, students scan the passage and tell true or false of 8 sentences, and correct the wrong ones. Notes. This activity is to develop students ability to fin out some specific information of the passage.Activity 3 is close-reading. I

16、designed different tasks for each part. For part one, there are some Wh-questions. Like “When did the Robinsons move to Egypt?” and “When did they move here?”. For part two, students will complete a table for para3 and 4. And for part three, students will have to complete some sentences acording to

17、para5.Notes: In this stage, various comprehending activities are designed to help Ss to have a full understanding of the whole passage, and have a clear mind about the organization of the passage.The last stage, post-reading stage needs the final 14 minutes. Two activities are designed. Activity 1 i

18、s retelling. Students have to retell the passage acording to the table they finished in While-reading part.Notes: It can help students learn better about the words and expressions of this period and the content of the text as well. Activity 2 is discussion. Students discuss in group of four on the topic of talking their own experiences according to three questions: “where they we
