1、教學設計 (PUZZLES IN GEOGRAPHY)馬馨馨I. 教學目標: 1. Enable the Ss to read effectively under the guide of the teacher, and made them have a better understanding of the United Kingdom. 2. Widen the Ss' international vision. 3. Form the Ss' consciousness of crossculture communication.4. Help the Ss think
2、 about using some reading skills and methods.5. Keep the Ss burning desire and interest.II. 學情分析: Students in senior 2 have already attained stage 6 ,however they are lack of the background knowledge of British, such as history ,geography ,and culture etc. .besides, the Ss don't have an awarenes
3、s of using reading strategies ,and dont know how to use them they've already learnt. III. Important points (教學重點):a. Have a total and detail comprehension of the UK from history, geography, politics, and culture etc.b. Help the Ss to learn different reading skills. . Difficult points(教學難點):1. Ho
4、w to help them understand the history of the UK in limited time.2. How to enable them to output what they get from the passage fluently.3. How to improve the Ss fast reading ability?V. Teaching methods(教學方法): 1. Skimming scanning methods to make the Ss better understand the whole passage. 2. Discuss
5、ion methods to make the Ss understand what they've learnt in the class. 3. Pair work and group work to get every student to take part in the teaching and learning activities. Teaching procedure (教學過程): 1. Pre-reading (閱讀前) 1> Tell them they will have a challenge for their listening. Show a 30
6、-second video and ask them to find out what it is about. (1分鐘)目的:因為語速為超快語速,學生注意力必需高度集中,所以目的一是在最短時間內(nèi)使學生將所有關注力放回課堂,其二是直接導入新課.2> Brainstorm: What do you first think of first when mention the UK? (2分鐘) 此活動目的是激活學生與THE UK 有關的知識儲備,并為之后的閱讀、編對話、和競賽活動做好鋪墊。2> Enjoy a piece of video of the UK to have a ov
7、erlook of THE UK. (3分鐘) 目的:讓學生對英國有一個大體又全方位的了解,從而是學生增強對即將進入的課文好奇心。4> free talk (tell them my own experience in learning about the UK-still many puzzles.) 此環(huán)節(jié)目的為引入課文2. While-reading (閱讀過程) 1> Fast-reading to divide the passage into 3 part. (2分鐘)目的:理清課文框架,為之后的WRITING 做好準備。同時,也訓練了學生skimming的閱讀技巧。2
8、> careful reading to read the passage part by part. A: part 1(Para 1-3) Group activity. Group A: Find out the timeline in the 3 paras and tell what happened. 次活動目的是讓學生了解并深入理解英國的形成過程,同時還能培養(yǎng)學生SCANNING AND SKIMMING的能力。 Group B: Finish exercise 1 in comprehending part at page11 on SB. Find out the re
9、lationship of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Then ask one of the group to go to the bb. To show their answer sheet on the blackboard. 次活動目的通過理清關系,可以更好的理解英國全稱 (THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND) 的由來, 同時也為之后的語言輸出做好充分的準備,在活動完成過程中,又有閱讀技巧的滲透。(3 分鐘)B:part 2 (Para 4)
10、Find out the division of England. Group work.(1分鐘)C:Find out the 4 invaders to LONDON and tell what they left. Group work.(1分鐘)3. Post reading (讀后活動) 1> Competition between two groups. Show 8 numbers on the screen. Ask students who want to try choose one, and behind each number there is a questio
11、n about the UK. If they can answer the questions they may get the related marks. (四分鐘)目的:重現(xiàn)及鞏固加深本課的重點和難點,抓住學生好奇心和爭強好勝的心理特點,再次加深對英國的了解,同時也是對最后一環(huán)節(jié)語言輸出的最后一次鋪墊和準備。2> According to what theyve learnt in this lesson , ask students to make a dialogue. Situation: Imagine you are visitors to the UK. You wa
12、nt to know something about the UK. Please make a dialogue to ask the guide Miss wang to introduce more about the UK. The teacher can give them some useful expressions on the screen: work in group of 6. One student is the guide, Miss Wang. The other 5 students are visitors. 2 minutes to prepares then
13、 ask some group to present it in front. 次活動讓學生以口頭表達的形式,應用本課所獲得所有信息,加工整理成與導游WANG的對話,內(nèi)容可以涉及與英國相關的方方面面。目的一,在應用中加深理解;其二,語言的最終目標:交際功能的體現(xiàn)。其三,對本課內(nèi)容學生掌握程度的一個直觀的檢測。4 Homework Ask the students to write a short essay to introduce the UK according to what youve learnt in todays lesson. The group who wins the competition have no homework, but they will correct the homework losers do.總結(jié)及作業(yè)根據(jù)本課所學,寫一篇一百字左右的短文,介紹英國的歷史人文。競賽獲勝組免做本次作文。但隔天批改另
